This was my second time here. The ambience is nice. It’s very spacious with a lot of cool lighting and decor. The bar is huge with a lot of TVs. It’s located in a really busy part of Jersey City surrounded by a lot of restaurants, bars and stores. The food was not all that great. A bit overpriced for the quality or lack thereof. The atmosphere is the selling point and the service wasn’t bad either. Not a bad place, but not great either.

Place is vibrant and interesting inside, a lot of photo zones. We had burger and lobster ravioli. The food was just okay. There is a good draft beer selection. Meduza cocktail was very tasty but seems to be overpriced. Service was good, our waitress was nice and attentive.

The food was great however when I received my bill and handed my credit card the server brought back a tab that was not mine and when I brought it to her attention I was told I would be credited that amount back from 12/28/2024. It is currently 1/8/2025 and I have not been credited yet and when I call to speak to someone no one answers. I’ve left numerous phone numbers. The friend I went with stopped by yesterday to tell them I got his bill and he was told I was probably drunk. I am sober and have not had alcohol in 17 months. I am very disappointed no one has reached out.

"Home of the $3 mimosa." I've visited The Ashford a bunch of times and I really love the overall vibe. The outside is currently decked out for the holidays and so is the inside.
I love how they have a rooftop, full bar and seating all around. There's different levels such as the bar area (main floor), the upstairs seating is nice as you feel a little exclusive, then there's other areas on the top level before you get to the rooftop.
Since I visited during the holidays, I tried a cocktail from their holiday menu and "The Elf in Jersey City" is my favorite. The pumpkin cream makes in it reminds me of a festive egg nog or coquito. For food, their caesar salad is pretty solid. My boyfriend really liked their chicken tacos too. I had to order the firecracker shrimp which comes with 4-5 medium size shrimp; it was delicious but I definitely needed two plates, haha! The fries are good too.
In addition to good cocktails and food, the music is a mix of everything. Hip hop, R&B, Pop, Latin, etc. The music does get loud at night so if you're trying to have a heart to heart conversation, it's best to visit at another time. I never had bad service here either. You may wait a little long to get your servers attention but that's only if it's a very busy night. Our waitress gave us a gift card for waiting patiently which I thought was nice!
For parking, we all know Jersey City's street parking is a gamble so if you're not trying to circle for a spot, there's a parking lot where Shake Shack is about a block or two away. Reserve it on the ParkWhiz app as it's cheaper.
The Ashford is perfect for a night out, brunch and dinner. I always enjoy myself!

Food was superb. Great menu and vibe! Music good. One of the few places I’ve been to in Jersey city where the staff is welcoming with good service to black people! This feels like a safe comfortable space for all people to enjoy. And I will be a repeat customer. Really appreciate that tonight. Keep that up

This place has dragged down the entire neighborhood on the weekends and made the whole strip unsafe. Long lines with metal detectors and pat-downs says it all. Thank you very little for bringing the crime and trash to our neighborhood.
Update 11/24-This place has lost a lot of its old charm. It almost reminds me of the last days of 1 Republik in Hoboken. Our drinks were horrible. The margarita was undrinkable and the draft beer was flat. The food was good tho. Music was average.

We came here on a Sunday around 6pm, it wasn’t too busy. We ordered some drinks and put in an order of calamari and a chicken caesar wrap. Our drinks arrived but our food never did. We waited 30 mins for appetizer food. I don’t see the point of handing out food menus if the food isn’t going to be served. Our waitress was nice but complained she wanted to go home. This place is definitely appearance > quality
