I ordered an almond joy bowl and a berry delightful acai bowl for lunch today and was very disappointed. Both bowls lacked any flavor it felt like I wasn’t eating anything and was left still hungry as it wasn’t very filling.

Bad cup of coffee. Not even hot
I purchase a smoothie each morning before heading into work. Today the price was $3 more than what I usually pay. The guy working the counter said “well today the prices went up and it’s going to be a long day for me” despite a menu placed right in front of the register saying otherwise. I enjoy the smoothies but the $3 price hike and lack of professionalism will be the reason I find somewhere else to go each morning.

Had their green balance smoothie and it was really good! I personally don’t like the taste of protein powder but you can ask them to make without it.
The warm protein drink was great. Avocado toast was fine, 6/10. The service on that particular day was extremely slow. They only had 1 person working there for a while and we ended up being there almost an hour for what we thought was quick service. I would say check to see how many people are working before you order if you're in a hurry.

I wanted to take a moment to respond to Dave’s post because I was the only other person there during this interaction. It was just Dave, the employee, and me. The way the situation was described in his review does not reflect what I witnessed.
Yes, a mistake happened. The employee accidentally used the wrong nut butter, and the moment Dave brought it up, she apologized immediately and looked genuinely upset with herself. She remade the smoothie right away.
While she was making the second drink, she calmly explained how the mix up happened and noted that the jars are close together. She was not blaming him. She was not making excuses. She was simply sharing how the mistake occurred and suggesting he mention his allergy to anyone else making his drink in the future as a precaution. Her tone was gentle and sincere. She never followed him. She never stepped out from behind the counter. She never mocked him or threatened him. After remaking the smoothie, she asked for his first and last name so she could comp the next drink. When he did not want to give his last name, the conversation shifted, but she stayed polite and apologetic. She clearly felt terrible about the mistake.
The tone of Dave’s post suggests hostility, negligence, and intentional disregard for his safety. That is not what happened. What I saw was a young employee who made a human error, took responsibility, apologized several times, fixed it immediately, and then tried to do something kind to make up for it.
For anyone reading Dave’s post, please know that the staff at this café consistently goes above and beyond. They are kind, attentive, and always wonderful to talk to after a workout at Base!

One of the few things I look forward to in the winter months is their seasonal smoothies. That along with the wonderful staff always starts my week of right!

Amazing smoothies for post workouts and the meals are also great if you need something quick to eat and don’t want to plan dinner. Not to mention, Sam and his staff are the best, nicest people around!

This needs to be updated. They are not vegan. They have whey, collagen, cheese, honey, egg, etc Updated from previous review on 2025-10-30
Love this place. I have been patronizing The Power Plant about 3 years. The service is amazing . I always feel welcomed . I love the mushroom coffee, desserts, smoothies and the coconut water. The sunlight in the window. lol! Highly recommend it! .
Ordered too good to go, and this is what came in the $4.99 bag. From a cost perspective, this is an incredible deal, these are some expensive cookies and ginger shots. That being said, if you don’t like health shots and oatmeal raisin cookies, this will not be a good offer for you. Unfortunately, I do not like either of those items but you can’t chose with too good to go. The cookies are shockingly good
they offer whey powder, which is from a mother cow who had her baby taken from her.
