The food isn’t bad although they seem to not have a set price on their platters since the prices kept changing. My biggest complaint is their delivery person constantly making noise with their moped every day! Like get it fixed already it’s broken. Every night you hear the engine being cranked over n over until he can finally get it started.
They had a limited menu on the day I ate there. I had the j*** chicken with Guyanese style Chinese fried rice. It was the best Guyanese food I found in Jersey City. West Indian food is limited in Jersey City. Staff was polite.
I initially went to Tropix when they opened about a year ago. I ordered about $100 worth of food, which was very tasty. I ordered the chicken curry, it did have the wing and neck in it, I'm not really used to those pieces...however, it was very tasty. The lo mein, fried rice and jerk chicken were good too. The cook up rice was awesome. They had gourmet homemade pastries (coconut buns, pineapple tarts and cheese rolls). I was impressed, especially since west indian restaurants...
