This is a great, typical American bar, good atmosphere and food, with reasonable prices for the location. Nit far from where we used to stay in JC, so visited many times. We love the burgers, fish n chips and onion soup. This was our hangout to watch the world cup. Cocktails are also excellent. Staggering distance to the light rail, Path and ferries are very walkable. Definitely worth a detour from grove st or exchange place.
The food was the absolute highlight of our visit, we ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which was perfectly golden, and the chorizo kale hash that delivered a fantastic punch of flavor. We ordered the Greyhound and Mimosa which were refreshing. While the service was flawless and attentive from start to finish, the atmosphere was quite pleasant.
Went with a couple of the gals and solid staples. Great spot for lunch and good quality. Nothing crazy but large portion sizes with good service. Decent size location and cute atmosphere. Food and service were both great. We enjoyed cob salad (big and lots of flavor) as well as other breakfast staples (benedict). Overall Recommend
