Parking was easy and free. Scallops appetizers and lobster bisque was great. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed outdoor seating
We were staying in New Hope and came to the Hawke for dinner. Husband ordered the stuffed mushrooms, ceasar salad and pappadelle with lobster and crab. He loved all of it. I had the tuna wontons and the salmon. All were delicious. For dessert, we split the mini donuts - yum! Our waiter was very nice, he was fairly new but handled everything well. Our only complaint was that the food came out very quickly; we were done with apps and mains in about 35 minutes. Although we weren't rushed out the restaurants, and sat and had our coffee, we would have liked a bit of time between courses. Aside from that, I would recommend the Hawke.
This local eatery serves great steaks and seafood entrees with unique pairings and nightly specials all at a reasonable price. Cocktails, beers and wine are available at their full service bar which hosts a crowd of its own. Table combinations for different size dinner parties coupled with a large outdoor seating area in season provides a perfect casual dining for a night out or a special occasion.
Went for all you can eat crab night. It was delicious. So much food for a very affordable price. Staff was great. Place was clean. My only negative is the parking. There is none.
Wonderful bar hidden behind a secret garden in the heart of Lambertville. Serving over 20 whiskies and specialty drinks including the Erin. Tito’s, freshly squeezed lemon juice and Chambod shaken until refreshingly chilled
We ate here on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. Either it was our waiters first day or he was just clueless from the start. We had questions about the menu which he had no idea about, said he had to go ask. Even asked to substitute the blue cheese dressing on the wedge with Russian dressing and he had no idea what that even was. We ordered apps and asked to have our entrees wait a bit, but he brought the entrees while still finishing our appetizers. Ordered dessert and coffees, which came out lukewarm and asked for hot coffee Had to wait while a new pot was brewed. The food was good, but the service left a bad taste. Not sure we would return or even recommend
The newly managed "The Hawke" in Lambertville, NJ is now a lovely place to enjoy a meal and a good drink. The staff is congenial and fast, the food is good, and the ambience is conducive to a good time. We were there with friends and will go back. One criticism -- for a special they had "seafood cakes" - basically crab cakes with some lobster and shrimp added. The cakes were mostly filler and the cost was $45. They were normal sized crab cakes and if there was lobster, shrimp, or even a good amount of crab in them, you could have fooled me. Anyway, other than that "special" and its unreasonably high price, The Hawke is a happening place and we will return.
Dinner for 2. Oysters, although small, were very good. The Ahi tacos were good although I’d ask for the wasabi Mayo on the side as they put a bit much on for my taste. The interior was a pleasant surprise from what we expected from this slightly off the beaten path restored old building.
had several seafood dishes and a steak. seafood was good. fresh and prepared to menu. steak wasn't classic steakhouse quality.
Food was great! BLT with coleslaw on the side was fantastic. Wife had a burger with homemade chips on the side and loved it. Sat right next to a roaring fireplace on a bone-chilling day. It was perfect. Good selection of drinks... check it out!

Definitely worth a stop. Beautiful to eat inside or outside in the courtyard. Service is good. Drinks are excellent. Food is superb. Definitely try the Tuscan bread.
After trying to find a parking spot close to town, my family finally found one outside of the Inn of the Hawke. After reading the menu posted in the window, we decided to make it our lunch spot. Our table was situated in a cozy cubby near the front of the restaurant. My children were thrilled with the "Make Your Own Soda" options. The wings and burger were prepared exactly how we ordered them. We also enjoyed the salmon salad and especially the Boxty, a great combination of flavors. The service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She was attentive, but not overbearing. We will definitely make a second visit.
We stayed at the Inn and could not have been happier. The room was cozy and immaculately clean. We went to the restaurant for drinks and an appetizer and the staff were friendly, courteous and professional. We’ve been going to Lambertville forever and never knew about this place. We know now and we’ll def be back.
Atmosphere was warm with a real wood fire burning, super cozy. While hostess acted frantic due to covid... our young waiter was attentive. Food was delicious! Will return, one of the best restaurants in Lambertville —much nicer than pricey Over the Moon Restaurant!!
We were lucky to have stopped in to this place during a visit to Stockton. Their COVID protocol was on point, sanitizing right in front of us, with good instructions on their masking requirements. Tables were nicely spaced outside underneath the twinkling of lights on one summer evening. The cocktails that started the meal were delicious. Even though I went for something fruity and summer, much to my delight, it was not at all sweet. The real highlight of their beverage menu is their beers. I had several, on tap to finish off the meal. My husband and I chose some fun dishes fried pickles, tacos that were on special, and a flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce. It was hard to choose from all the delectable desserts, but ultimately went with a chocolate topped ice cream. Delish! All were delicious. The meal took a long time, but this was in the midst of restaurants reopening, so it is no surprise that things were a bit slow. We could have had a more attentive waiter and notice that other tables were gone much before us. That said, after 2 hours we were lucky to be out of the house and back to our place before a massive storm came through. When in Lambertville, we often have some regular places. This is a place we'd go back to again.
