“Been a fan of Riley and Jake’s for Years! This week I made reservations for a group of 15 ladies. Arrival times varied from 5.30-6:30 and departure times varied too. Our server, Anna took it all in stride. She was friendly and very efficient. Appreciated her cheerfulness and patience. Food was delicious and the cocktails, I’m told were refreshing. Thank you to Jake and Riley’s for another wonderful experience!“

“This is our GO-TO place for catering when we have parties. They are so accommodating, they can make anything on or off the menu, great pricing, and they are truly appreciative for the business! Every single time we order, our guests RAVE about the food. We went out on a limb and ordered a large cheesesteak Stromboli last night and people couldn’t stop eating it. HIGHLY recommend!“

“Visited this spot recently and was really impressed by the food – every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is fantastic too: welcoming, stylish, and perfect for a night out with friends or a date night.

Unfortunately, the experience at the bar fell way short of the rest of the restaurant’s standards. The bartender (older white woman, working the Sunday lunch shift) seemed completely disengaged – no interest in recommendations or craft, and the $15 “custom” cocktails felt like an afterthought. Cheap ingredients and absolutely no effort in presentation or taste. For a place with such high-quality food, it was disappointing to watch someone lazily throw together drinks that tasted like they came from a bargain bin mixer.

If the bar matched the effort coming out of the kitchen, this place would be an easy five stars. Until then, come for dinner – just skip the cocktails.“

“When we visit my daughter, we usually end up having dinner at the Washington Diner. They have large portions and nice staff. Varsilli does a great job managing the place, and the very friendly Gina did a great job waiting on us. Try the Washington Diner, you'll like it.“

I chose chicken parmigiana, first off as a joke I asked the server if this was for the entire table, a huge portion! Two large chicken breasts atop a good size serving of linguine. “The food is traditional Longhorn fare, though I will say there has been some improvement in recent years and prior cooking staff seemed to be rather heavy handed on the salt and they’ve corrected. Rustic cozy western vibe and traditional fare is accompanied by a solid assortment of appetizers to choose from. The steaks are reliable if not a bit plain, but consistency is key here. The staff service can be hit or miss depending on the training of those on hand on the given day, but they are generally attentive and do a good job.“

“My wife and I ate at Mi Sabor this evening and everything was excellent. My chicken enchiladas were well seasoned and flavorful.The rice was very good and the Pinto beans were a welcome change from Black beans like everyone else does. My wife said the Mexican steak was tender and cooked just right. The restaurant staff was very nice and helpful also. We will definitely be going back to try other menu items.“

“I am really close to giving this place 5 stars, but I only went for lunch. I need to experience this place more in depth. The service is really on their game. From the outside it's not much to look at but from the inside, it truly feels like the best of fine dining - with Thai food! Is it truly authentic Thai food? It's as close as I believe I will ever get in Northern New Jersey and that's something to consider. I am sure if I asked for the real thing, they can easily deliver! Food was delivered to the table very quickly during a late Saturday afternoon lunch and they still had nearly half the tables filled. I can only imagine dinner time! I would love to go back with a large group and see how well they impress!“

“Most people see diners and get melancholy for the same bland and boring food, but that is where I will challenge you. Today, I was served the most flavorful dishes from any diner I have been to in my life. I will admit it was a very pleasant surprise and a very wholesome experience. The portion sizes were nice, they didnt overload the plates to make up for poor flavor, nor was it so exquisite that you had a simple morsel. All in all, the food was very well done showing both love of the food and the love of serving. As for the atmosphere, nothing too complex but nothing too simple, it showed a small piece of history from Clinton allowing for immersion and a peaceful environment. The waitress we had was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu as well as quick and precise with our requests!
All in all this restaurant has been put on my "visit again very soon" list. Such a pleasant experience and I'm excited for my next meal here.“
