Disappointed that they didn’t have popcorn chicken but substituted for wings. They were amazing .not greasy at all. Very impressed. Will definitely go again. “I live in Florida and came up to visit my daughter in NJ. I wanted chicken so we stopped by the restaurant. The chicken and french fries were both freshly made and seasoned to perfection. I would definitely return on my next visit to New Jersey.“

“Just wanted to thank Don Chicken for serving us tonight. We arrived at 11:20 and was afraid they might be closing soon (they close at 12) but got served.

Ordered the cheese teokbokki, spicy soy garlic wings and spicy wings. They accidentally messed up the order but offered to make another 10 batch wings. The food arrived around 11:45 and they let us take our time even though it was 15 mins towards closing. We ate quickly and packed our leftovers.

The food was delicious and the staff is kind and accommodating. If I am ever in the area, I'll stop by again. Highly recommend!“

“I love this place so much that I have anxiety about them closing. The boneless chicken with sweet and spicy sauce has become one of my favorite foods. The sushi is great. We always get a dynamite roll. Big fan of the k-chicken roll, too. The texture of the crunchy chicken in a sushi roll is amazing. The owners are lovely. Please support this business.“

“From the start from when we first walked in, the place smelled heavenly of fried chicken. The restaurant was clean and had no odor except the delicious smell of fried chicken. We were there at 5:30. The service was friendly and my husband and I were even told about the plastic glove that the napkins and fork were wrapped in when the guy behind the counter handed us our food. That glove came in handy when we ate our wings. We ordered sweet & spicy and BBQ. The coating was crispy and delish. Just how I like my wings. Not over sauced and hot! Definitely going back!!“

“This was my first time here after a friend suggested it, and it was AMAZING! I am always hunting for a place that has delicious sauce and can make that perfect crunchy coating on chicken that stays crispy for hours, and this place IS IT! The food really looks as good in person as it does in the images. I had the honey garlic boneless chicken and mixed with the white rice, it is especially delicious! The secret sauce was great too, very unique and floral and just the right spiciness.

Also worth noting was the fantastic lady who helped us today! I’m assuming she’s the owner/manager…she was so friendly and welcoming, the kind of person you’re happy to see every time. Between the food and her kind energy, we will definitely be coming back for more soon!!“

It wasn't busy at all.. we both got some chicken wings and fries.. it was great.. it was just a lil too crunchy for me .. it tasted great.. the server was great.. went out of her way to help us with anything we want.. great customer service.. keep it up ladies“

“I am giving the soul food experience here a 5 out of 5. Or a 12 out of 10. Each platter is Huge- enough to feed 2 people!!!! I ordered the fried Whiting with potato salad and candy Ames. It came with 4 to 5 pieces of fish, 2 pieces of bread, generous sides and cornbread. It was delicious!!. I would not recommend the curry chicken if you are looking for a true, jamaican curry period that curry here was dark and thick, like other caribbean islands, possibly trinidad, make it, and that's not what we like. You definitely want to order in.advance.. as each order is made fresh- IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!... there is no seating or indoor dining. Straight take out.“

“We had a wonderful date night here! The bartender was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and truly made our evening enjoyable. The food was fresh and phenomenal; we loved the burrata pizza, wings, and an amazing selection of wine. We’d absolutely love to come back.

That said, our arrival was a bit off-putting. Despite available seats in the dining area, we were told we couldn’t be seated there since we were a party of two, without any clear explanation. I got a 3 piece whiting with rice and a can of soda it came with bread and coleslaw it was under $12!! amazing deal! “NOTHING... The service was horrible and the wait time incredibly long. Then on top of all that they AUTOMATICALLY added a 20% gratuity to our bill and when the bill came there was a space to add a gratuity... so if you don't look at your bill and just add the gratuity you got RIPPED OFF“

“This place has been around for decades, and their fried chicken is by far the best I’ve had throughout Passaic county. It has a nice spice to it that separates it from others. Their beef patties are also delicious… and you cannot forget to order a burger!

The only concern is the location. They’re located in a dangerous part of Paterson; fortunately, nothing has happened whenever I visited, but always be on alert.“
