“Linden is a neighborhood that was once all Polish. Not so much now, but it still attracts many Polish patrons wanting to drink and eat the familiar cuisine. Located on West Price Street off of a busy Wood Avenue and highly recommended, some of my colleagues came to this hidden gem, Amsterdam Alley for lunch. Upon arrival, the establishment isn’t a large building and has outdoor seating available. Upon entering, the inside has a front room with a bar and several high-top tables. The back room has standard-height tables. Both rooms have several TVs. It's inviting, charming, rustic, and very clean. We were greeted by the staff and decided on a table in the back room. Our server, Kasia, was informative and accommodating. There were several menus given to us: the main had a big variety of Polish classics; today’s special; and lunch. We ordered from the lunch menu and got six pieces of pierogis with mushroom soup, a Polish-style mushroom-stuffed baguette, and a grilled Polish kielbasa sandwich with sautéed onions and pickles, accompanied by fries. The food was excellent, fresh, and authentically Polish! However, there was a small incident with the soup, but our server was able to rectify the problem. The portions were just right, and the prices were amazing. We could recommend this place.“
“a wonderful place to go to! When dining out, having great food, excellent service, and a pleasant ambiance can greatly enhance the overall experience. A delicious meal, attentive staff, and a comfortable environment all contribute to creating a memorable dining experience. It's always a pleasure to find a place that excels in all these aspects.“
“Best pierogis!! We have gotten from them many times but we recently won a fb post where they gave us 22 pierogis for free and they were amazing!!! My 3 year old loved the potato and cheese ones! Almost forgot how much we loved them! Will be back soon! Thank you wheelie good pierogi! !!“
“Pastrami is very good. Moist and fresh. The quantity will vary depending on on who is making it but most are decent portions. They also have tasty home cooked dinners, perogis , potato pancakes and other things. But it’s all about the pastrami.“
“Coming from a Polish guy l, it really is home-made Polish food. If you're in the mood for Polish food, this is the spot. I'm so glad I can get good food on my way to work on this side of the island. Now I just need them to deliver when I'm working nearby.“
“Mermaid?♀️ is amazing how this tiny place is able to pack in all its inventory and customers day in and day out. What’s even more amazing is how much competition they have within a 2 mile radius and it is thriving. The real testament on how well they do, the quality of their cooked foods and the selection it has to offer. It is a bustling hub of culinary delights within the Polish community. Renowned for their prepared lunch counter, the spotlight shines on this culinary delight where I have seen the queue 5-10 people deep. Do not forget the delectable dessert case- it’s a sweet haven. The perpetual buzz of activity extends beyond the store, spilling into the ever-busy parking lot. Dziękuję Syrena ?? “
