My fiance and I booked Cassaldis months out in advance for our rehearsal dinner. We spoke with the owners who were super sweet. They marked us down for the date and told us they would be in touch about creating a menu. When we didn't hear from them for awhile we reached out atleast 6 different times. Different staff said they would call back but never did. Eventually we got in touch with them and they were double booked. We had to scramble to find another venue a couple weeks before our wedding. Dinner here was okay, definitely better in the area, but would not recommend for events.
CASALDI’S in Linwood for the win! Celebrated our anniversary last night with an antipasto app (6 choices): double order grilled artichokes, single order mozzarella, prosciutto, stuffed cherry peppers and soppressata (drizzled with a balsamic glaze). For dinner I had June’s Rigatoni which is the rigatoni tossed with Casaldi’s blush sauce, peas and pancetta, topped with a crispy chicken cutlet. Boyfriend had the Parmigiana Duo with rigatoni, which is grilled eggplant and chicken topped with mozzarella and marinara. We love it here, it’s our “spot” when we don’t know where to go and just want something consistent. Manager/owner is always a sweetheart, the girls running the tables and the bussers cleaning up always run their butts off while getting along from what it seems. Extremely relaxed and enjoyable dinner always, they are CASH only and BYOB. There is an ATM at the location and outside seating options when it’s nice out in a quiet parking lot located in central square. Hope I encourage anyone to try it! We love it here!
Walked in at 6:30 on a Sunday evening without a reservation and we're seated immediately as a table of 4. Matthew was our server and was very knowledgeable of the menu and did a great job with our orders and communicating with us throughout the meal. Service was prompt and our Cesar salads were out in about 5 minutes along with bread and seasoned olive oil which were both delicious. The entrees were outstanding and everyone at the table was thoroughly impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and we all left completely stuffed and with leftovers boxed by the wait staff. All in all great experience in a fantastic atmosphere with amazing quality food and a friendly, courteous wait staff. We will definitely be back and this is our new go to spot for great Italian food while in OCNJ.
Parking: Plenty of parking
I actually wrote this a few years ago but forgot to hit the send button. Here it is with an update for most recent visit. The King shared a very delicious caprese salad with the Queen, then ordered the chicken cacciatore as the entree as did one other in our four person party. The King was pleased with his dinner as it was very tasty as was the accompanying veggies and rice. The King’s friend ordered his with pasta, but wasn’t quite as pleased. The Queen and her friend ordered seafood dishes and went home happy. Service was good and atmosphere was very comfortable. Hope to return soon. Update: Dinners and service was just as good as first visit. Would have returned much sooner if it wasn’t for you know what. Only recommendation is to accept credit cards because cash only policy could be a deciding factor for me in choosing among places to go.
Last night we had our first visit to Casaldi’s. My husband read a review about the restaurant being a Best of the Shore type. We had a party of 4. From beginning to end the experience was great.Greeted immediately, Wait staff and busing prompt, total compliments to the Chef and staff. We will be back!!!
Cute Italian restaurant where you can bring your own wine. We dined in the small dining room, however there were outdoor tables available also. They open for dinner at 4pm and most of the tables were full by 6pm. They had several gluten free options available including GF penne pasta, which is what I chose with the pesto sauce and grilled chicken, as well as an eggplant stack appetizer that had a gf breading. The food was good and the staff were all very friendly.
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been. Hands down to the tomate stack dish as a start, honestly it was even better than my main dish. It’s delicious. If you like blush sauce, you can’t go wrong with it.Great time, great service. Certainly will be back.
Service was great. Tables are close, a little loud, Service was great, the food was good, it just wasnt my taste. Price is right. BYO
Had my birthday dinner here and it was great. Amazing service and food. If you're in the South Jersey area and looking for a nice place to eat, I definitely would recommend Casaldi's!
What a great place. Went for the first time tonight and already made reservations to return. The food was delicious but the service and friendliness of the staff are what make this restaurant. Carly and Matthew were awsome . Carly recommended the chicken francaise and it was delicious. Other dishes we had were the puttanesca and eggplant and everyone loved their meal . Byob is a definite plus .

Not many meals like this at the Jersey Shore outside of AC and Margate. Food was fantastic. We ordered a charcuterie board that was excellent including several meats, cheeses, olives, artichokes etc. Also as an appetizer, cauliflower francaise that is an absolute must try. All entrees were tasty and cooked perfectly. The highlight was June's Rigatoni cooked in a blush sauce with peas and topped with thin chicken cutlets. Make sure you ask for a little ricotta on the plate. Service was excellent.
The management and staff are wonderful, very welcoming into their Resturant. The food is excellent. It’s a BYOB and cash only. I had dinner there Saturday night with 2 other couples , everyone enjoyed it
Went for dinner on a recommendation. I ordered chic Marsala and my husband eggplant rollatini. Marsala was decent but chicken pounded out and tough. Veggies on my plate were delicious. Eggplant rollatini was not good at all. Eggplant was paper thin and you couldn’t taste it. Cheese stuffing was overly seasoned and tasted old. We order both of these dishes quite often when we go out and they’re not a hard dish to prepare, especially if you claim to be a chef. The worse part of the meal were the meatballs. How can this be an authentic Italian restaurant when they serve frozen meatballs? They were served cut in quarters with little sauce and ricotta cheese in middle. Sauce was horrible and cheese bland. Not a good quality cheese for sure. They were $12 I am American Italian and raised in a home where my mom made homemade dinners every week night and then we went out on weekends. I know quality food. None of the food tasted fresh except for veggies on my plate. All these comments on this restaurant must be from family and friends!!!! Oh by the way, we spent $78 including tip and they don’t even serve you a salad with your dinner. Good way to get you to order an appetizer! Never going back! Best thing here is the wait staff! They never stop checking on you and very professional.
Everything is always fabulous. Never had a bad dish. Reasonable prices and BYOB. STAFF IS VERY ATTENTIVE AND HELPFUL
