“This was an excellent dining experience for the most part! The service was great and the food was great. We had just returned from Italy and were reminiscing with some friends about the food and how it compared to the freshness of the meals at Sunday gravy. But toward the end of the meal you could tell we were being rushed… and then the hostess confirmed that our bill was paid and then actually asked us to leave 😳. Because she had tables waiting. How embarrassing and disappointing. No where on the online reservation did it say we had a time limit.”

“Last night we dined here and everything was excellent, from the service to the food, only thing we didn’t care for and was disappointed in was the crème brûlée, it’s not your typical traditional crème brûlée but everything else was wonderful. Will be back for sure!”

“For Valentine's Day weekend, my wife and I dined at the historical and exquisite Knife & Fork Inn on Friday, 2.13.26, since the 14th was totally booked. It was her first time there and mine since childhood. The menu was so extensive that it made it a bit of a welcoming challenge to focus on a particular choice. For starters, our huge portion of the Corn & Crab Chowder was the best that we have ever had and the Artisanal Cheese Plate was delectably wide-ranging. My wife loved the Halibut and my Bone-In Pork Chop was superb. Our cordial and diligent waiter, Carmen, who took service to the next level, suggested the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and we were very glad that he did as it was perfectly sized to share! Before we arrived, I mentioned to my wife that this would be a top dining experience and it was more than that with the historical ambiance, service and the spectacular menu options. We will definitely be back to try some more of their varied cuisine!”

“Whoever the amazing woman was who took my take out order tonight over the phone was the best! I ordered a Cesear salad and potato leek soup. I told her it was favorite and we quickly shared some laughs and she gave me the best tips on what to eat with (great recommendations btw lol) and was just so kind and bubbly. The food was on point ! Just wanted to give a shout out to her and the kitchen. Wish I got her name. Thank you !”

“We had dinner at Chef Vola’s on 9/17/25 to celebrate my Birthday. What an excellent dinner and experience. The service is wonderful and our head waiter Anthony is a great guy who provides the best service. The food is beyond comparing it to another restaurant. My wife had the salmon with special sauces that she said was the best she ever had. The bone in veal parmigiana was the best I have ever had by far and there is no comparison. We had the blush pasta which also was outstanding. Our sincere gratitude to the Chef Vola staff for making my birthday extra special.”

“Everything was great. We got appetizers at 4pm and could not order certain meals until 4:30(weird) About 4:30 until we couldn't take it any more, we took the balance of our early dinners with us. At 4:30 we noticed the restaurant started filling with flied. First near the floor on my leg then on the back of our seats & table & all around our food. The restaurant was clean to your eye but being in the food service business, Since they were serving food outside using the back door, the flies were swarming in I would suggest bug zappers inside & outside of the exit where they are delivering food. And every so often do a deep cleaning of their furniture and floors, esp under the tables making sure to keep changing the water. Maintence rarely change mopping water from dining area, cooking area & bathroom. And Staff clean tables & booths with the same rags all evening. So like I recommend really deep clean furniture walls & floors & it will help cut down on sticky floors & flies. The food was the best I've had in OC but dealing with the flies was unreal.”
