Tried again for second time, the food was really, really good and I found the quality of the food to match the price point. We got the wings with fries and Mac cheese. I'm definitely getting the wings again! The wait is much more manageable when you order ahead, but I've seen the line out the door which is a testament that the taste of the food is great. Parking is bad, and be careful since not everyone that parks on the street nearby parks close to the curb.

Hands down the best jerk chicken I’ve tasted . I got the jerk chickens w/ Mac & cheese and collard greens and everything was made with genuine love and passion . Will be eating this once a week for the months to come

I’m from Texas and I came here with my boyfriend who’s from New Jersey and wanted to try this spot . I ordered the fish and shrimp and it came with 2 sides. I ordered dirty rice and it was amazing! The shrimp was good , but the fish and macaroni was not great at all. The macaroni tasted spoiled and the fish was bland. I feel like the price I paid for the meal was not worth it which it was very expensive. The service was great , but that was all.

The food is ok. Chicken wings salty. Potato salad too much mustard greens nice texture but no flavor and Mac n cheese was ok. Happy it’s only 4 miles from my apartment. Won’t be going back.

Wonderful experience the food is delicious. I had ordered fried fish, macaroni and cheese collard greens and requested a side of yams. I also ordered jerk chicken for my daughter. The young lady mixed my order up and gave me an extra side of yams instead of macaroni and cheese 😔
The uptown is good! My co-worker enjoyed her meal aswell! I still wanna try the Mac and cheese . I traveled 30 minutes to get there good vibes clean place and friendly atmosphere! I’ll definitely try it again!

We catered 12 menu items for 30 people, buffet style, and the deliciousness was overflowing!! Chef Mel communicated with me from beginning to end - I ordered 2 months in advance. Everyone raved about the food. I look forward to patronizing them again.

Sooo good. Totally worth the wait. Love the flower— such a nice touch. Portions are huge and is a great value. Best brussel sprouts I’ve had in my life. Cajun fried catfish was amazing so was the mac and cheese. The cornbread is nice and moist too. 10/10

i usually read the reviews before ordering at new restaurants, but solely relied on an influencer’s reviews this time around. i wish i would have read the google reviews before spending over $30 here on 1 take-out order.
