Mar Belo was always my favorite restaurant but we were disappointed last night. I ordered the Halibut and it was so dry and over cooked. The waiter didn't even ask how everything was. He was so busy watching the sports game on the television.
The most memorable part was waiting for over a half hour for our mains. Seems like the waiter forgot all about our food till reminded. The apps were good as was the steak. The fra diavolo was ok. Not the best sauce. Shish kebab was over cooked and cod was fishy. Generous portions and nice staff.
My husband and I have been dining at Mar Bella for three years now. My favorite Portuguese restaurant use to be Iberia in Newark NJ. My new found favorite Portuguese restaurant is Mar Bella!! The food is authentic!!! The drinks are amazing!! The service is outstanding!!! I spent a summer in Portugal and the food at Mar Bella is equal in quality and taste!!!
