Not good with basic chinese take out. Really nice people. I got take out and got the sense that people; service and management are great. Food and pricing not so much. It’s possible that they do some good authentic Chinese specials. However for basic staples like lo mein I would say that they charge 2x the price for food that is not professionally made. Lo mein seems like spaghetti someone dressed up with sugary flavor no one asked for. All the dumplings are subpar....

I have been only going here fro a few years now because I do not live in Madison. However the food is awesome here and the front of house staff is very friendly. It is hard to find a really good Chinese food restaurant but I can honestly say this is my favorite one.

I cannot recommend Dao Madison enough – especially for their gluten free options!
Most of their menu can be made gluten free and my gluten-eating fiancée couldn’t tell the difference! The food came out HOT and quickly!
