“My team had a lunch booked today and stepping into L’Allegria was a beautiful surprise. I booked the restaurant based on the menu and ratings, plus parking looked easy. Without planning it we had a private room where we could celebrate the departure of one of our colleagues. Alana took great care of us and the food was delicious and well executed. Temperatures were perfect on the food too. The zucchini blossoms and homemade gnocchi were the best I’ve had in YEARS. The chef and restaurant team are to be commended. I look forward to returning with my husband for dinner. Thank you!“

“Guys, I stopped in yesterday to check the place out. I got to speak to Angie, one of the owners and I purchased a piece of Carrot Cake to take home. I had to take a bite the second I left the store. Just a taste. OMG! It was the best Carrot Cake that I ever had! So moist and full of flavor! I was very impressed. Sadly ... that piece of carrot cake barely made it to my car let alone back to my house! And you know what ... Not only was that carrot cake awesome, it was GLUTEN FREE. Now to put things into perspective for you all ... I own Ahrre's Coffee Roastery (Westfield & Summit) and -- way back in the 90's -- I owned the Common Ground Cafe in Summit. I have sampled cheese cake from countless commercial bakeries over the years. It was always my favorite type of cake and the ruler by which I judged the bakery. Taste Buddy is legit, folks! “The quality of the goods is second to none. We catered our entire Thanksgiving dinner from the Shrewsbury location and it was top tier in all respects. It’s not just the Italian specialty items that are excellent, it’s the whole range of prepared foods. The meat and fish departments are like the neighborhood markets of my youth. The employees are courteous and available and knowledgeable. The people who work there care about the customers and seem to like their jobs. If you’re a food person (whether you like to cook or just eat - for me it’s both) don’t miss this place. I love it even for regular grocery shopping. One note: you get what you pay for and here you get a lot so expect higher (but not insanely so) prices. It is well worth it.“

“Vinny’s is my go-to in the Garwood/Westfield/Cranford area. Every pizza I’ve ordered was delicious and the quality has always been consistent. My family loves the buffalo chicken pie and the grandma’s Sicilian. Their chicken parm hot sub is excellent as well.“

“The food at Salute Bistro was outstanding -- my wife loved the brussel sprouts (as did I) and her salmon...I thought the Paolo's salad was delicious as was my seafood and pasta. Service was attentive and efficient. I just wish that there were more patrons on a Saturday night as we don't want to lose this restaurant for Livingston. Perhaps it was just a slow early-summer kind of a night.“

“The green drink was the worst thing I ever drank in my life BUT WHY is it that days after my cleanse is done I am still drinking it?! LOL The first day was so hard for me but in hindsight I must have really had a lot going on in my tummy. I thought that the protein shake and the green juice were a punishment. By the the second day I was having a bad day but could tolerate the diet more. Third day I woke up feeling better than I have in years. It's been a couple days after my cleanse and I have actually continued to feel good and keep the weight off! That never happened to me before on other cleanses, I would always gain like 2lbs back over night. Here I am going back for more green juice and even got my husband on it! It's sorcery I tell you, thanks Chef V!!“

The Arancine (rice balls) are excellent. Good quiche and great pastries. The owner is very nice and lived in Sicily.
I bought some bread, that I found to be excellent.
Street parking, about 6 tables for 2 and good service.“

“I've been going to LongHorn for years, but this last visit was excellent. Carlos was our waiter, he was professional and attentive. The food was better than usual and my guests were totally happy from the steaks to the lava cake and short cake. The only thing that was negative were the prices. I understand everything has gone up but I can buy a good 3 piece pack of Filet minon at BJ's for $17. My 9oz filet was $35. Our bill for 6 people with tip was close to $300. In any case if you go it will be worth it.“
