The ice cream is decent if you are on Route 33 looking for a sweet treat. It is not our favorite. It is a staple in Manalapan, but find that the quality has gone down. It does say that they do not accept cash, but they do allow tap if you go to the window. Staff is very nice.
Great quick stop ice cream.
Cash only! The best ice cream around worth the trip! Excellent soft serve with many topping options. Outdoor seating on the side AND in the back of the building.

Jake's Cree-Mee Freeze is a popular spot for delicious ice cream with a wide variety of choices. The outdoor seating area is great, facing a beautiful horse farm, and the staff is quick, friendly, and cheerful. The ice cream is fantabulous, with amazing flavors like Monkey Business and fair prices. A medium sundae is filling, and the root beer float is big. They list all flavors, options, and toppings but will make whatever you want. There’s a cute seating area behind the building, plenty of parking, and it’s a peaceful location for a sweet treat. Be sure to check your order carefully, as mistakes can happen. FYI...it's cash only. Despite this, the hard and soft serve ice cream is always a delish must-visit during the summer.
