“I tried a quick lunch at Surf Tacos in Manasquan. Cool place, clean with a beachy vibe and interior. Service was prompt, which is always good. I ordered the $15 plate with 2 tacos, chips, beans, rice, and a drink that is a substantial meal. Opted for a Mahi and a Surf (breaded cod) taco to mix it up. They have a nice salsa bar, and I tried a little of them all. Drink offers soda or a tea dispenser.
The Cod taco was heavily breaded and not very tasty. Salsa helped. The Mahi was blackened and offered plenty of taste. I'd order it again.
Overall, I was pleased with this taco combo as a lunch option. Service and restaurant were nice, I'll visit again.“

“Vegan or not, it’s worth checking out this cute spot. We ordered the porkroll egg and cheese sandwich, the buffalo tempeh mac and cheese, the bacon, hashbrowns, french toast sticks, and a cold brew. As some other reviews mentioned, they did change some items on their new menu but there was still a good variety. I felt that they did a good job recreating typically non-vegan dishes. Our favorites were the Buffalo Mac and cheese (really good) and the French toast sticks. The worker running the food out to us was very kind and attentive (blonde hair, dark makeup). I didn’t feel that we had to wait long for our order. The decor is very fun and themed. They were out of a few things we had inquired about, but we aren’t nit-picky. I would come here again but would maybe call ahead to see what’s on the menu because I still see the old menu listed online and it’s since changed quite a bit.“

“I would have given them a five if maneuverability had been better. I parked behind the building by the curb and slept. I was having coffee at 6:00 when one of their drivers opened the gate and advised me to turn around so that I could sit outside around the building and to the dock because there is not much room and a lot of drivers get hung up blindsiding. I walked around the building and look the situation over then turned around and waited till almost 7:00 to back around the building in order to give all of their trucks time to get out of the way. Everyone I encountered was friendly and I was able to get into the dock without running over curbs. They unloaded the truck quickly and allowed me to use the restroom inside. Don't be scared by the bad reviews just take your time and you will be fine.“

“I randomly stumbled into this place last night, and I was honestly really impressed! The Quesabirria were delicious! The tortillas were crispy, the beef was tender and flavorful, and the cheese added a nice richness. The flavors of the onions, cilantro, and lime tied it all together, making for a wonderful eating experience! And let's not forget about the dipping broth, which was packed with flavor! Dipping the tacos in the broth followed by the hot sauce was amazing!

The service was also great. The lady at the counter was really friendly and helped me feel at home. I would highly recommend this place for some really great birria! I hope I get a chance to come back :)“

“We traveled 2 1/2 hours for a beach day and ended it with a Playa Bowl in Asbury which is a summer tradition. But we almost missed out! Location was closed by 6:00 pm on 9/21/24! “It is a pretty premium ice cream place. The Neapolitan waffle and the dirt taco both cost $10 each. Not much of a surprise as it is the boardwalk and there is usually a price premium.I cannot recommend the ice cream tacos or at least the dirt one as it is essentially ice cream in a cone but in a different format. It is no different from ordering an ice cream cone with chocolate ice cream, with cookie crumb and gummy worm toppings.That isn't to say it was horrible, it is just nothing special unless you enjoy the novelty of eating ice cream from a taco shaped cone. The dish itself was delicious but I should have tried something more unique that they serve like their cereal milkshakes or Dole whip to try something that makes it stand out from the competition.I would also recommend not getting their waffles as they are pretty dry, very thirst quenching which surprised me as eating waffles never gets me feeling that way. Soaking it in the ice cream helped work around the dryness of the waffle. I will make sure to avoid having waffles from here next time.Overall the ice cream met my expectations but was nothing special but again I didn't order their more unique offerings so it is not on the business for that. The waffle did not meet my expectations with it's dryness and I would avoid it unless it was a one off. I will make sure to order something more unique next time, such as their cereal milkshakes.“
