“One of the top dining experiences of my life! My boyfriend and I we the only ones there for a 7pm seating (Tuesday after Thanksgiving) so we got a complete one-on-one meal with chef Carmen and head chef Sean. It was so interesting learning about where each fish came from, each piece's preparation, and so much more! I'm glad I got such an intimate experience the first time, and look forward to going again with a group to get the full omakase, dinner-party-esque kind of atmosphere. I ordered a special drink and she went out of her way to see if the bar had the ingredients to make it. She paid a lot of attention to us as appropriate. “Food was very good, as was the service! Appetizers and sushi came out fairly fast and our waitress was very kind and helpful with menu options. We came here during the off season so it was not very busy, but we would definitely come back during peak!

The edamame is a must on the side, and their lo mein + fried rice is really good too. I have only gotten take-out but have always been really satisfied with the freshness + flavor + everything I have eaten here!“

“It was totally fun, and the quality of the food was pretty good. The cook was well practiced and the table had fun interacting with him. The fried rice and noodles were tasty, as was the scallops and fillet mignon that I ordered. And it came with ice cream for dessert, which was a nice touch. “I was desperately craving sushi. I had not been to a restaurant for months so i wanted to treat myself. I found Maza and went into order. Never having been there and not knowing what to expect…i wish all testaurants and people were as nice as Maza’s employees. They helped me find rolls that were gluten free, they showed me all the ingredients they planned on using to confirm they were gluten free. I asked for two rolls to go, one salmon and one tuna, for a friend. When the two rolls came out both the chef and the cashier reminded me i stated salmon and tuna, both rolls to go came out with salmon on top and they offered to switch the salmon on top of one of the rolls to tuna at no extra charge, when i went to pay i noticed a cash jar for tips, i apologized for not having cash to tip and the cashier sincerely said dont worry about it. If you are sick of dealing with entitled restaurant employees who demand tips just for looking at them, then this is the place for you. The sushi was as fresh and delicious as the employees were sweet and kind and respectful. Thank you HaShem for Maza!!!!

“My husband and I LOVE River Rock's outdoor dining. We enjoy seeing the boats coming and going while we eat. The Manasquan River is a beautiful sight. Any food items that we have ordered are delicious. Lauren Guenther is one of our favorite servers. She's a sweetheart. She's very friendly, personable, and very focused on what she's doing. We know Lauren from when she served at Carrabba's. She was very special to us back then as she is now. Being local residents, we visit River Rock frequently during the summer and we will ALWAYS request either Lauren or Kelsey Conover because we simply adore them both. River Rock is our outdoor Happy Place during the summer. 💗💗“

“Went in for a quick lunch, love the fact that they gave me miso soup with my general Tsao's Tofu! Great real Chinese vibe, serve the fried noodles with hot mustard and Sweet sauce! I will definitely be back. I was discouraged though because the online prices said lunches were nine dollars then when we got there they were all $11 still a decent price& a good portion. My boyfriend had the shrimp with Chinese vegetables and the shrimp were nice.“

“we've been going to 709 for many years, and go there quite often . service is always good, but the food has been hit or miss for the past year. they closed down and reevaluated their menu and staff. the new staff is excellent, as was the old. we have decided to continue to support 709 during their transition. Saturday's dinner was just not prepared to my liking. my fillet was medium well, when i asked for medium rare. the server was excellent, and tried everything to accomodate my requests. no fault of her own. but, the chefs should pay better attention to what they are cooking. the sushi chefs also need to check the freshness of the fish they are serving. the usually "red" tuna was gray. we tried a piece each, and decided not to eat it, and it was then off our bill. 709 was "the" place to grab a great meal.... look at my other reviews. not too sure anymore.“
