My husband and I truly enjoyed our dinners. The food is outstanding, the staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is so relaxing. We will definitely be back.

On a lark, we decided to try Luna Stella for dinner earlier this week. We caught it out of the corner of our eyes as it is tucked away slightly off the Main Street of Maplewood, but boy are we glad we found it! We happened to catch them on a live music night so we decided to sit at a bar table and while the dining room was nearly empty, the bar was full. Our waiter was attentive even with a full plate of tables and the owner came over to us several times to see how we were doing. Our drinks were very good, but the food was amazing! The chicken was pounded so thin for the Milenese and fried perfectly. The short rib pappardelle had a deep unctuous beef flavor but was not heavy at all. The pasta was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be going back!

Service was slow and inattentive even though it was fairly empty Wednesday evening. They have 10 mains and were "out" of 2 of them. Food was alright. Probably better to find a nice dinner elsewhere.

While the other restaurants in Maplewood were hopping on a warm and sunny Saturday night, we were all alone on the patio. Place was huge and empty but for a few folks at the bar.
Food was fine, salad was nice but a bit skimpy with the arugula, and pasta was flavorful. But, the price was crazy high, see the receipt.
All of the items were on a paired down menu, and I suspect they are having some money problems.

Luna Stella is an absolute gem. The food and service are always outstanding. The base menu is solid and they have unique specials from time to time. Whether coming directly from my kid's soccer game or out for a date night, this place is always a great choice (it's always our 1st choice!)

We love Luna Stella - such an underrated gem right in the heart of Maplewood! Cute outdoor patio/garden area in the back with plenty of seating, and the food is always excellent, as is the service. We've never had a bad meal here and will continue going back, especially when the weather is nice and we're looking for an outdoor dining spot!
