Good place to eat, located on the main street in the city of Maplewood. Outside there are several tables and chairs to sit in the summer. The atmosphere is good and the service too. The food served is satisfactory to the customer's taste.

This blissful diner is a hidden gem of this small town. The restaurant is newly renovated so it looks clean and very relaxing. The menu has so many different food options, like the classic childhood breakfest waffles and pancakes. They even have foods like steak! I really enjoyed the seating and my waitress Ishani, it is truly the best! She really cares about the establishment and made sure my experience is superb!

I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at The Spot Diner in South Orange. Ishani, our waiter, made the experience exceptional. Her friendly and attentive service set a wonderful tone for the morning. She was knowledgeable about the breakfast menu, offered fantastic recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. I highly recommend The Spot Diner for a great breakfast experience, and be sure to ask for Ishani – she truly stands out!

Sunday morning just wanted to have breakfast with my significant other (we are colored people). I was waiting in line to be seated very patiently. Nobody said “welcome, good morning” no type of acknowledgment. I was in line when a group of 3 Caucasian people walked in, they were not even acknowledged but seated right away. I looked at the person who was seating people and the other waiter and told them that I was there first, they didn’t apologize and told me to have a good day. I cried outside and was in disbelief. We walked across the st to Village Coffee CO and they were so welcoming. Please share if you had a similar experience, this is 2024 this has to stop! We are all humans at the end of the day. Let me add a picture and tell me if you see colored people.

The 2 very big crab cakes were delicious! Came with salad veggie and potato..the cream spinach soup was very good...fried fish was a very large serving..cheese steak was good...coffee was hot and fresh.. good..chocolate layer cake with vanilla ice cream for desert great!
