About Memories in Margate
Memories in Margate Reviews
Went to Memories last weekend and had a blast! Jerry Blavat is the best! He plays great music, the crowd really enjoys him. Place gets busy as the night goes on, but there are plenty of drinks and food! A fun experience!
I went with friends last night. Had a great time. Young people dancing to the music of the 1960s. What a great place. Jerry brings all ages together to enjoy the music. I love this place. Unique!

Memories in Margate offers excellent service, with attentive staff providing thorough explanations of menu items. The friendly and efficient bartender, Matt, along with the welcoming team, contributes to a great atmosphere. The restaurant features enjoyable dueling pianos on Thursday nights, and the roast pork sandwich and linguine with white clam sauce are highly recommended. The clean and spacious environment makes it an ideal place to celebrate special occasions.
Known for its lively Friday night oldies party starting at 6:00, Memories attracts line dancers, hustle and disco dancers, cha cha, and jitterbuggers. As the evening progresses, the music and crowd tend to get younger and more crowded, making it a fun spot for all ages. Memories welcomes both regulars and newcomers all year round, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Activities such as karaoke, trivia, and game day gatherings add to the fun, and the holiday decorations are spectacular, perfect for photos and dancing.
While some visitors have expressed mixed feelings about the food, mentioning that the chicken wings were burned when served, many appreciate the memorabilia on the walls and the nostalgic ambiance. Recently, Memories in Margate has undergone extensive renovations and reopened in May 2024 under new ownership by Philadelphia restaurateur Teddy Sourias of Craft Concepts Group. The updated interior features a new video wall, dance floor, and a tribute area to former owner Jerry Blavat, including some of his original music collection, mixers, and turntables. The exterior retains its classic royal blue-and-white color scheme, with a new sign and tiki bar beneath a pergola. Now, the venue offers a dinner menu and brunch options alongside its vibrant nightlife experiences, making it a great place to create new memories.
The security team, praised by many, handles the crowd like superstars and is known for their excellent customer service. Visitors have shared positive experiences, highlighting the enthusiasm and friendliness of staff members like Cruz. The welcoming atmosphere and lively music have made for memorable nights, with guests excited to return for more fun.
