Place is overrated. It’s hot upstairs and loud. Drinks are too expensive. Save your money and go to Shuckers or Johnny’s for a better time

This bar is loud. It’s hard to hear what someone standing next to you is saying. Also, if you are upstairs, it gets hot during summer and the fumes from truck and buses can make the air upstairs, rank at times. The experience left me feeling gross as I left the Tequilla Bar, hot and sweaty. On a brighter note, the variety of drinks available was very good, but pricey. You could easily spend $300-$400 on cocktails with a date, without realizing it. The food is average and nothing to write home about either. If you’re hungry, go to Tomatoes, Sophia’s, Tideline, or Lamberti’s on the bay.

Amazing bar! Fast service. The manager Mike was phenomenal and our server Chris Bruder was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend this place!!!

Literally awful. Our server couldn't understand us when we asked for mocktails. Drinks took longer than food to come out. Food was overpriced and underportioned. Ambience is decent but anywhere in the outside in the summer at the shore can be labeled as decent. Couches are disproportionate to eating, you're so far hunched forward and unable to enjoy sitting and talking with your group. Servers don't know their menu. Won't be back.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Sunset Tequila Bar. Despite the beautiful interior, the experience was soured right from the start by an unhelpful group of young and far inexperienced hostesses who seemed completely uninterested in assisting us. My 2 year old could do a better job in communicating with us.

We specifically went early (5:30pm) due to taking our children to dinner on a rooftop experience…Our reservation was switched from a rooftop table to a downstairs booth without any explanation or effort to make it right, and when we asked for help, her attitude made it clear she couldn’t care less. With service like this, I can’t recommend Sunset Tequila Bar to anyone, which is a shame given how nice the place looks inside.

Terrible manager. They shouldn't have that kind of person working there. He's very rude to customers and doesn't offer solutions. It's a shame that a good place has such rude people working there.

Truly the worst service and drinks I’ve ever had in the state of New Jersey. Do not waste your money here. Oh and you may be charged a cover for…….. no reason.. maybe to have god awful food and drinks served by the most incompetent staff to exist. Have the bartenders ever been trained?

Went their as a group of people with reservation and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. The two girls at the door were no help. Never gave an update as to how long we had to wait. On the way out they never said anything to us. We were eventually seated upstairs near the only window that was open. It was a wind tunnel. After asking twice they finally closed the shade. If your wanting something besides tequila good luck. The were out of 3 different alternatives and no humus appetizer as well. Staff left dishes stacked on our table throughout the meal. It was not a pleasant experience. Maybe they had a bad day or maybe the need better management of staff and inventory.

If you want to be well taken care of, ask for Manager Jasmine. She will give EXCELLENT customer service. Speedy, friendly, with the best recommendations. Will 100% be back because of my experience with her!
