Probably the best dining experience i’ve had the whole year. Very warm nostalgic service paired with beautiful tasting food plus the owner and his daughters are sweet hearts. The falooda and tea leaf salad were very memorable to me. Highly reccomend 10/10
This is an example of something all too rare in NJ: a genuine independent restaurant making absolutely delicious food representing their country of origin with pure ingredients, skill in the kitchen and kind professionalism from everyone involved.
The owner Sato says this is the only Burmese restaurant in NJ and I trust him when he says this but more importantly, every dish was absolutely delicious. Anybody know another Burmese place in NJ?

As an American born Burmese, I always love exploring local Burmese restaurants looking for flavors that I grew up with. I’ve been to Amayar twice and both times were blown away by the quality/authenticity of food and hospitality. Sato and his family are also incredibly friendly, hard working people who are model citizens. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
