Maywood Pancake House Reviews
I’ve been before, but this morning was NOT up to par. The pancakes were not cooked thru and seemed a bit mushy. I noticed other dishes being sent back with way too much pancakes still on them. My husband had “ogida” all afternoon. I’m very disappointed and prob won’t go back.
Went today and had a hateful server who would not address or respond to me during my meal. She would, however, respond to the white man I was with. This happened during our entire time here. Any requests had to come from him because the couple of times I tried, she would just stare at me and walk away.
Food is good, but service is everything. Would not recommend for people of color.
Just left here after waiting 45 minutes for a table for Mothers Day. Was with my infant and toddler and got to watch everyone who came in well after us get seated before us. Even after my husband approached the hosts and mentioned this they kept letting others with the same number in their party sit before us. Very unfair.

Maywood Pancake House is a local favorite, offering a variety of tasty breakfast dishes. The restaurant provides ample seating, but customers should expect a short wait on busy Sundays. The service is friendly and efficient, even with large groups. While some dishes, like pancakes and omelets, meet expectations, others may need adjustments to balance flavors. The restaurant is popular for its American cuisine and is a great spot for Sunday brunch with good service. Customers have praised the real maple syrup and unsweetened soy milk available, as well as the decent-sized portions and competitive prices.
The food at Maywood Pancake House has received high praise from recent visitors. The Waffle Bishop of Liège and the Cuban Breakfast Burrito were highlighted as particularly delicious, with the crème fraîche and fresh-squeezed orange juice adding to the enjoyment. The seasonal pumpkin pancakes were also a hit, and the restaurant offers a variety of options, including vegan and gluten-free choices. The portions are generous and filling, making it a satisfying dining experience.
