Took my dad here for his birthday. We recently took a trip to PR and heard this place is pretty authentic. He is vegan allergic to seafood so the garlic mofongo and rice and beans was just fine for him.
My spouse had a taste for Puerto Rican food and had a spot in mind in Philly but without notuy, the place was closed. (It broke his heart - lost his appetite) A week later, I found this gem (& referred) in efforts to surprise his taste buds on a Sunday afternoon. He absolutely (as did I) LOVED everything about R.C. From the food/portion size, the servers, atmosphere, location (local) & culture was perfect. He felt at home (i.e. caught the itis & yes I drove, LOL)....
I ate here for the first time today… best Puerto Rican food I ever tasted. I got fried chicken with white rice and beans with Tostones. Chef kiss! The Pina colada smoothie was 10/10. The space was really nice & will be here more often !
