Dicosmos is absolutely spectacular. As a guy who grew up on Rita’s, I thought I knew what Italian ice is. I thought I knew the heights of the delicious frozen treat. I was so wrong. Dicosmos is made with real fruit, has fun flavors that change often, is reasonably priced, and is located in a great spot. I go here all the time and am always a happy customer. I now frequently export the Italian ice by bringing it to gatherings with friends and family to spread the gospel. Stop here if you have the chance

Drove from Woodbridge NJ bypassing Rita’s famous Italian ices to try this place. The young man served me with a greeting upon entry. However, he became extremely silent after offering the taste of the flavor I wanted to try. The product was extremely soft and melted very fast. Doubt that I will return. The customers sitting on the patio outside were the typical snobby type of resident for that town, looking at my feet to determine my net worth I’m guessing.
Update: a very typical pretentious reply received. Not impressed.

Everything about my experience at Dicosmos was simply life changing. Firstly the beautiful, elegant taste of their Italian ice was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Secondly was the impeccable service from a young man named “Jack,” I feel like Jack and I bonded when he served me. He knew everything Discosmos and we talked about its history, and flavors for hours. I WILL be coming back to Dicosmos, and I will be leaving a bigger tip next time ?

When I think Italian ice, I usually get it mixed up with Kona Hawaiian ice where it's shaved ice with some kind of syrup in it. This Italian ice place is not that!! Here, they are making small fresh batches of authentic Italian ice every single day (when they run out, you're out of luck). The ices were full of flavor and had pieces of real fruit. My kiddos got two scoops which is a medium size and I was worried they would not finish it but everybody joyfully finished it. We look forward to coming back and to exploring other restaurants and cafes in the area.
Come because you heard about the legendary Italian ice, come back because it's somehow better than everything you've heard. The best in the world served by some of the nicest people.

I love DiCosmo’s , they’re from my home town in Elizabeth. But this location, I was very unhappy with the service. Came in with my family & the girl who served us had a sour face the entire time she served us. And kept giving us faces because my children needed to taste the flavors prior to deciding . She also had an issue with my husband because he wanted to taste a flavor & questioned him about needing to taste test. Once we paid and also tipped her, she immediately went to the next customer with a whole different attitude. Smiling & happy , & also apologized for “that”. Very unsatisfied with this experience.

Great tasting Italian ice. Mint-lime was tasty and refreshing. We also tried a combo of chocolate and coconut. The chocolate was not too sweet and the coconut tasted natural.

I grew up eating Italian ice in New Jersey since I was a kid and recently came back to visit my grandparents who live in the area. I stopped by the Metuchen location on Tuesday and tried their lemon ice and I was blown away. Then I came back the following day and had the chocolate expresso and I was really really blown away. This is by far the best italian ice I had in my life. Customer service is amazing, the shop is locating in a great area of Metuchen and the ices are spectacular. Support local business es this is a gem for sure and it speaks volumes that they have been in business for over 100 years, wow... Whenever I come back to Jersey to visit family or for a mini vacation this will be the first place I will stop at.
