Meximodo Metuchen – Cocina Mexicana & Tequila Bar

Meximodo has officially become my go-to spot for both lunch and dinner. I’ve been here multiple times now, and they honestly never cease to surprise me with how incredible the food and cocktails are. The quality is incredibly consistent, yet every visit feels like a fresh, delicious experience.
​If you go, you absolutely have to try the agave smoked old fashioned—it is a masterpiece of a cocktail. Pair it with their charred Caesar salad for the perfect combination.
​Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for phenomenal Mexican cuisine and top-tier drinks!

Amazing restaurant! Food was great - prime rib steakhouse tacos were perfect, shrimp enchiladas Verde was amazing, street corn app great! Our server was great too, entire staff was attentive and friendly.
And a beautiful space created a comfortable vibe all not. We didn't feel rushed to eat and leave. Highly recommend!

We have dined here multiple times in the past and it was good. Haven’t gone back in a while. Recently went with a party of 9 and it was horrible. Service was terrible, food was cold! Had to return three times which at that point decided to just not accept. Water was warm, had to ask for ice many times. Probably will not be returning. Menu has been changed not for the better.

When we arrived for our reservation during the last hour, they didn’t seat us where we asked, despite it being empty. The host & waitstaff were not accommodating or friendly. The food was a letdown, our chicken & shrimp fajitas were boiled & bland, The Baja tacos were also bland. We thought that it would be more authentic. We also had to keep looking for the server to get water. Won’t be returning & do not recommend.
