I'm one of those people that orders the same thing at every Chinese food place, General Tso Chicken. I always ask for it to be made spicy. Usually I get a couple extra of those whole chili peppers. Not here. Both times I ordered and asked for spicy they delivered. Even gave me a little container of hot oil to go which cleared my sinuses out in the best late December way. This is my go to now.
Pink Lotus place at Metuchen offers a delightful dining experience with a standard menu that includes some traditional dishes. The Kung Pao Chicken is very nice, bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced with peanuts and a hint of spice. The Szechuan Chicken is another must-try, known for its spicy profile that will satisfy any heat lover. Chicken was perfectly cooked. There is not much use of oil or the feel of soginess.
