Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.“

Friendly service, authentic, and food that seriously satisfied. Went with the mixed döner with their chocolate Baklava and it was everything I’d hoped for. “I have been thinking of stopping in for a while, I came in today for their Arabic chicken Shawarma. It was delicious. Crunchy outside, very flavorful inside. I will come again. Not very attractive photos but it gives you an idea. They have a shawarma sandwich on a roll but I very much prefer like this!“

“I wanted to leave a review because every time I come here, I notice the same thing: the employees work incredibly hard.

The food is always great, but what stands out to me most is the staff. Every time I walk in, they’re constantly moving, helping customers, preparing food, handling orders, and keeping everything running. I’ve never once been made to feel rushed, ignored, or like I was a burden, even when it’s obvious they’re extremely busy.

Today, the lady helping us even offered our toddler a free baklava as a thank-you for being patient while we waited. That small gesture meant a lot and showed just how thoughtful and caring the staff are, even while juggling so many responsibilities.

As a customer, I genuinely don’t know how they do it. If I were in their position, I’d probably be frustrated and overwhelmed, but they continue to show patience, professionalism, and kindness.

I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but from what I can see, this team deserves more support. For the amount of work being done and the volume of customers coming through, it seems like a very small staff carrying a very heavy workload. As both a customer and a human being, I don’t think that’s fair.

I hope management knows how valuable these employees are and how much they contribute to the success of this business. They deserve recognition, appreciation, and the help needed to make their jobs more manageable. The food keeps me coming back, but the people working here are a huge part of why I continue to support this place“

“Was impressed with the decor, service and food. The BBQ burger was cooked perfectly! Made with fresh meat (not frozen formed patty) - not sure whst the English would be but I know it in Yiddish as “hockfleish.” The BBQ sauce added to the taste of the meat without being overpowering and the onion, pickle, lettuce and the challah bun were all extremely fresh. Looking forward to coming back snd trying the other choices!“

Lamb Adana kababs were very authentic and really tasty I will suggest it as a must have if you like Mediterranean food. Also ordered Tas kabab, it was really good, the meat was really tender and gravy complimented the rice it was served with.“

“We visited the New Brunswick, NJ location on March 11,2025 around 8:30pm and must say we are extremely disappointed with the service. Here’s our saga: we ordered chicken Kakab platter in person and asked the person behind the counter to put the olives, turnips and pickle on the side. It was shocking to hear that the guy told me that I have to pay extra. I told him again I am not asking for anything extra but just that I need my olives, pickand turnip which is on top to Be put in the side he reiterated and said that it will be an extra charge. The manager had put in a new policy in place. Is there any checks and balances in place to control this nonsense This is so bizarre….let me ask you this …. If I go to a burger joint and ask them for fries in a separate plate (again not extra) would they ask me for more money? What’s going on Mamouns? Not expecting from you guys…. Utter disgrace…. We have been your patrons since last 20 years ….. its makes us think twice if we really want to go to Mamouns again. This is totally unacceptable.“

“I love this restaurant so much! I've ordered the grilled octopus appetizer two weeks in a row—it's absolutely delicious. The meat is tender and fragrant, absolutely worth a try. For my main course, I had the chicken souvlaki with lemon potatoes, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The accompanying olive bread was the perfect icing on the cake and complemented every dish perfectly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The service is personalized and relaxed, creating a homely dining experience. They also offer BYOB (Bring Your Own Wine), which is a real plus! My husband and I were excited to try this place as we are new to the area and heard good things about it. I'm glad we did. I would highly recommend. My only issue was my husband and I were ready to dine, we wanted to enjoy the restaurant, the vibe and each other. Our appetizers came out only a few minutes after we ordered and as we were enjoying them our mains came out. I felt rushed. “I just got food today at King of Gyro because I had a crave for a gyro and decided to go here. When I ordered my food was needed by a friendly worker and the chef did not disappoint. I got a gyro with fries+soda and it came out to around 13 bucks! The gyro was amazing and filled to the brim with chicken. The fries were crispy but needed a little more salt. Overall amazing food and I’ll be here in the upcoming future. The environment isn’t the the best but it is calm and cleanliness is good!“
