Mrs. Kumar’s effortlessly strikes the perfect balance between upscale elegance and warm, welcoming hospitality. For those looking to unwind, the sleek, marble-accented bar is an absolute showstopper, thoughtfully stocked with a premium selection of spirits and wine, and equipped with perfectly placed screens making it a fantastic spot to grab a drink.
But it’s the food that truly steals the show. The kitchen delivers an exceptional lineup of rich, authentic flavors served in beautiful hammered brass and copper serveware. The Dal Makhani is a masterpiece creamy, slow cooked to perfection, and deeply comforting while the vibrant, perfectly spiced Veg Jalfrezi bursts with fresh texture and color. Paired with exceptionally fluffy Poori and perfectly charred, smoky naan right out of the tandoor, every bite is a testament to top tier culinary execution. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or stopping in for a relaxed drink and incredible food, this spot delivers a memorable, five star experience.

This place is fire - we ordered take out and we loved the food - excellent flavor and the right amount of spice. Don’t let some of these other reviews deter you from at least trying this place. We’re glad we didn’t - we’ll be ordering again soon! ✌🏽

I was out out of town for business. However, my wife and kids attended one of the most disappointed experiences from what I understand. The meals came out 10 minutes after each other so the family never ate together. Then the waiter stood over my wife to see the tip %.
They automatically added 18% tip, even though the service was subpar, would never eat at this establishment. Service Quality has gone down, Better places to eat at.
Tipping culture in this country has gone out of hand. Customers are now subsidizing payrolls.

This beautifully decorated restaurant is visually stunning. From the bold wall colors and thd large mirrors, to the sparkling overhead lights and the TV screens with the revolving painting, this is a fun setting, where even if you dine alone you won't have to sit and stare at your phone.
Though Mrs. Kumar's has a huge menu that covers almost every part of India, I will start with the dessert, Double ka Mitha, that I loved best. This playful dish from Hyderabad, which seems like just fried toast and sweetened thickened milk, is so much more than that. You will not find desser in many restaurants, so this is not to be missed. I also enjoyed the Cut Mirchi (not unlike an Indian Jalapeno Bomb) is definitely a great way to start your meal. Though it was tastu, I wish the Shrimp Sukka had been a little more sukka (dried). As a result this dish and the Lamb Karahi looked and tasted quite similar. The Dahi Baingan, is described as mild, but I would describe it as bland. I am a mezcal fan, and ordered Mrs. Kumar's Smoke and Spice. This is also a mild cocktail, and squeezing in the piece of lime it was served with, added the crowning touch. I would love to return and explore the menu at Mrs. Kumar's further.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered the lamb biryani and specifically asked for medium spice. What I received was far from a proper biryani. There were only a few spoonfuls of rice loaded with heavy masala, and the rest of the container was filled with poor-quality lamb. The meat tasted bad and was not enjoyable at all. I was extremely hungry when I ordered, so this was especially frustrating. After trying a few bites, I couldn’t eat any more and ended up throwing the entire meal away. Paying $25.59 for food that went straight into the trash is not something I expected. I’ve had plenty of biryanis from different places nearby, and this was easily one of the worst. I won’t be ordering this again.

Amazing food and amazing service! We had multiple appetizers, breads, and entrees; everything was spectacular, some of the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten. We will absolutely be back next time we’re in the area!

Fantastic Indian food!
Basic order for lunch; of course lunch is now 40$. Chicken tikka masala and tandoori roti. Roti was raw. They offered to replace it. I wish the tikka masala was not that dry and full of sugar; I declined the replacement roti as it looked equally bad. Mostly left food and left and they had no concern. Used to go there a lot.

I was really looking forward to trying Mrs. Kumar’s Indian Restaurant based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
We ordered several dishes for the table. The idli appeared to be reheated and tasted as though it had been microwaved. The texture was off and it did not seem freshly prepared. My son ordered the chicken lollipop, which was probably the best item we had and was decent.
My husband specifically asked whether the biryani was authentic dum biryani before ordering, and we were told that it was. Unfortunately, it did not resemble dum biryani and had an unusual taste that we did not enjoy.
I ordered the garlic naan with salmon tikka masala, and sadly that was also a disappointment. The flavors were lacking, and the dish did not meet our expectations.
The one thing we genuinely loved was the ambience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The service was also pleasant.
Overall, while the ambience was excellent, the food did not live up to the hype or the reviews we had read. Based on our experience, we would not return for the food.

*Good ambience and very courteous staff. The menu has lots of options to choose from. However, I was a bit disappointed with the taste and preparation. We ordered a kebab platter, but unfortunately all the kebabs tasted quite similar and lacked distinct flavors. I haven’t tried anything from the Indo-Chinese section or the biryanis yet — hoping those are better. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t go back specifically for the tandoor items.*
