New Mexican Restaurants near Monroe, NJ

“We shop in NJ on Saturdays. My daughter asked for Shrimp Tacos. I said ok google, and Las Chiangas popped up. It was near so we headed out. I cannot tell you how amazing this experience was. This place is very small with about 8 tables. We had 2 adults and 3 kids. My daughter asked if they had apple juice for the two kids. They did not... next thing you know, they ran next door and got two bottles for us. I was blown away. To say this place is welcoming would be an understatement. The woman who waited on us was so joyous. The menu is extensive. We ordered simple items. The food was delicious. Now this place is all about home cooking. There are seasoned ladies in the back cooking with a passion for their culture. What a great place. At the end, my daughter said that we would be coming back again, and indeed we will. Thank you so much for making our day so special.“

“I ate at the Monroe store today. I had never been at a Buubakoos before and did not know what to expect. I had the pork burrito and it was off the hook. The place was spotless and the service was spot on. The manager came over and introduced himself as John and asked if everything was satisfactory, and it was more than satisfactory. You would think John was the owner not just the manager, he cared as if was his own business. It was good to see that. I will be back for sure, my new go to place.“

““I didn't have a reservation, but they seated me immediately and treated me very kindly. The young lady who served us was very patient with the children about the food and an excellent host.” I ordered a Molcajete which was delicious and thanks to the children I even ate fries. I recommend them.“
