I got a Local Flavor coupon and decided to try it with my wife. Let's start with the positive. My wife ordered a crab cake and a crab salad. The crab cake was quite tasty, though a bit pricey for $14 for one crab cake. And her salad she said was good, with ample crab meat. I, on the other hand, sadly ordered the cod fish and chips for $16. It had a single piece of cod about 1/4' thick and 3 1/2 inches long. It was cold, dry, overcooked and hard- and not very tasty. The fries were fine. I was shocked that they served this- it bordered on inedible. What do you expect when you order fish: ample portion, still hot, moist, flaky, flavorful- nope, none of these. Won't be returning.

We ordered a boil with a crawfish, crab legs, shrimp, sausage, boiled egg, potato, corn, and mussels in the crabulous sauce. We chose medium spice-level and it was perfectly spicy and delicious. I could have drank the remaining sauce, it was so good. I liked that all the items in the boil were a la carte so nothing is in there that you don’t want or like. The prices were really lower than expected. Used a Groupon and they didn’t act annoyed about it like other places do sometimes. Will definitely return and won’t mind paying full price next time.

Best snow crab legs!! Passion fruit green tea is delicious. Definitely be going back. Great spot for large parties. BYOL!! Come on Sundays to avoid the crowd. Very reasonably priced, not sure how they can stay in business but we're definitely coming back with the family!

Was hoping for a better experience! I will say that the service was immaculate and she was a pleasure to be around. She did disclose after our meal that the chef was new. Unfortunately, I would really love to give this place more stars but the only thing that I enjoyed was the crab cake appetizer. I ordered the seafood boil with mussels and shrimp but the seafood was extremely over cooked.

Visited on Friday night 08/19/22. Skye our server was great. I visited with a friend & there was a couple sitting at a table across from us & I’m going to assume the Asian guy was the manager but he kept on walking the aisle & not once did he speak to us but stopped at the table across from us. There was no one else in the restaurant. Also for an empty restaurant the food took forever to come out & it’s not the best seafood boil I’ve tasted. Only good thing about here is BYOB. This was my first & last time there.

Run here! Food is good, tastes great & has amazing flavor! Generous portions, pleasant staff & clean environment. We enjoyed the lobster linguini & garlic butter boil.

I go here quite often as it is within walking distance of my home. I pretty much order the same thing almost every time ago. Their Maine lobster roll. I order because it is a true lobster roll - just large chunks of lobster on a roll with drawn butter. Some people say that this is really a Connecticut lobster roll. I don't know. I've had lobster rolls like this, and I've also had them when the roll was mixed with mayonnaise, celery and other things similar to chicken salad or tuna salad. I much prefer it this way. with just drawn butter on a bun/roll. Crabulous doesn't skimp either. All of the lobster rolls I've ordered are heaping with fresh lobster meat. It comes with cole slaw and french fries. I am thankful to have a restaurant that offers this so close to me. I think the price is very reasonable for what you get.

I have to say I was very impressed with the service at crabulous, normally seafood can be too fishy in smell or taste but crabulous I tap my hat off to u guys. Our server was amazing her name was kay and wen I say full service hit ur girl kay, she said she got us n that she did... she made us feel so comfortable n keep our conversation n refills on point. Before we could ask for water there she was. she helped with decisions and gave a full review on the menu. Kay u will be seeing us again. The boss Ben was amazing he is like a friend u knew for a while . Thank u again crabulous for the wonderful service and food.

We have been to Crabulous restaurant in Montclair, NJ on at least 5 separate occasions. Although the owner, staff and employees are All Very friendly,.attentive and welcoming, unfortunately, the food leaves Very much to be desired. We are sorry to say: 1st. The fish sandwich, although of good quality, tasty and fresh, contains so little fish, I needed a magnifying glass to see it. (OK, a very slight exaggeration), This is a completely unacceptable portion of fish for $15.00. I do not care that it came with a basket of undercooked French fries. 2nd. We have ordered at least 3 orders of the fried calamari on 3 separate occasions. Although a fair portion for the price, they have Always been Way too overcooked, chewy, way too salty, appear to have been old, held/frozen a bit too long And cooked in old oil. I did even ask repeatedly that they be cooked way less or cooked for a lesser amount of time. Obviously, that request either fell on deaf ears or was not communicated to the cooks. If this Restaurant does not step up its game and pay more attention to it's foods cooking quality and quantity, they will surely not make it till next summer. This is Especially true on restaurant row in Montclair, New Jersey. PS: The parking in front is a nightmare. There is however a metered parking lot behind the restaurant, If you're lucky enough to ever get a space. Thank you for your time and consideration.

This place is a hit or miss - the crawfish was bland.. i provided the feedback to the waitress just so that she's aware of the blandness and they credit me with another order of grilled oysters ,

This place is as good as it gets!! I had the pleasure of going here the other day and the food is off the hook DELICIOUS!!! the place looks amazing ! The staff is friendly. The Atmosphere is very nice. I ordered the Lobster Roll and it was filled to perfection!! The Avacado Crab salad was one of the most tasteful salads I have ever enjoyed. Look these photos speak for themselves.

Had tickets at wellmont so decided dinner at this place before the show. Loved the seating setup with the pixie glass dividers - I'm sure it's for Covid but perfect for messy eater like me while eating seafood boil, LOL I really wanted to like this place. The boil was lacking flavor. It didn't come out piping hot. I even thought the head on shrimp and corn were a little under cooked. They forgot our sausage so they brought that out separate - also cold. They ran out of the oysters that they sell during $1 happy hour which I was so looking forward to but they wouldn't offer their other oysters for happy hour. You can't swap out any of the sides in the special packaged boils - which comes with corn, sausage, and potatoes. My favorite items were broccoli and headless shrimp. Could be an off day with the chef but I wish the service could have also accommodated some requests. Definitely give them a try!

Second time to have a meal here and it was just fabulous! We had the sand crabs (mini version of dungeoness), lobster and shrimps in a medium spicy creamy garlic sauce. Sauce is to die for! Only requirement is you need to use your hands a lot for which you are provided very durable gloves. You get a bib and tons of napkins. Service is very attentive! We are planning our next visit.
