I had a wonderful experience at Don Alex Restaurant in Montclair. Rosa, our waiter, was very cordial, attentive, and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was delicious and offered excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend giving Don Alex a try!
We had Combo #1 with leche de tigre, and it was filled with fresh fish and shrimp, incredibly delicious! The chicken was moist, the salad had a very light dressing, and the rice had a nice hint of cilantro. Everything was fresh and flavorful!
The service is always consistently friendly and attentive, and the value for the money is unmatched! Just make sure to tip extra, as the included gratuity is only 15%.

The music was very load and playing Rihanna. I don’t have a problem with her at all but it’s a Peruvian restaurant and was July 28th Peruvian Independence Day. I was expecting maybe some folklore something Peruvian. I asked the waitress to please lower the volume and she did but only a bit. I thanked her and at least we were able to conversarte.
