I so enjoy this place. The food is good, it's quiet and comfortable. Never a wait. The proprietor is so personable and feels like home. But most of all the food is good. Everything I've had, smothered pork chops, fried chicken good! The sides are good as well. I highly recommend this cafe.
Today, my daughter treated me to some delicious home cooking, as she mentioned. According to the ratings, Mrs. J's restaurant has a great reputation. The place is clean, and the food is fantastic for the price. However, the service leaves much to be desired. The waitress staff lacks personality; there is no warm welcome, and they can be quite rude. Meals are often delivered awkwardly, either over customers' heads or in an unprofessional manner. Definitely best breakfast you’ll find! We tried many of the breakfast items: grits, biscuits, pancakes, French toast, omelette, corned beef hash, and fried catfish. BEST breakfast ever! Their cooks have been there over 20 years and it shows since they know what they’re doing!
