Sadly this bakery is not what it once was. It was sold by someone who had already lost his/her passion for it, and the new owners are quickly running it into the ground.

We used to get their bread all the time, sometimes directly and sometimes from Van Hook on nearby Grove St. The service was always bad given that the previous baker seemed to prefer hiring obnoxious teenagers rather than paying adults a living wage, but this was made tolerable by some of the...
