This is the sandwich I dream about when I’m not in Jersey and always my first stop when home. Figure out your order before it’s your turn, these folks are busy. Pepperoni bread and coffee cake are the best I’ve ever tried, and the chicken cutlets are perfection. Try some cherry pepper spread on your sandwich if you like a little heat. They also sell their pizza dough to make your friends think you’re a much better baker than you are, and it freezes well. Seriously, just got back from Italy and am still craving Nicolo’s.

Stopped in for the first time and glad i did. Reminds me of a classic Italian deli. My sandwich was great and the specials looked fantastic. The kicker is it's a bakery so they have fresh baked bread and other items to take home.

I could easily give 5 stars the foods and breads are exceptional. The customer service and help are atrocious. All have bad attitudes and worse personalities.
The guys and lady behind the counter would best be served by working in either the fast foods or housekeeping industries. For them to work there they must be related to owners.

I arrived in Nicolas. I asked for a pork and Swiss on. Rye smashed under the grill. I'm toasting. And for some pasta, salad pasta salad was very bland had no taste, pork was very dry bland no taste, I called to speak to somebody in charge. And the best thing he can say to me is we'll try better. Doesn't try to compensate me. Doesn't ask me to come back. He'll me make me something better. Nothing the best thing you say is we'll do better. I'll come in here and show you how it's done. My friend, but the way you went about it. No, Bueno, bad business. I've been in the business for years. I've never treated my customers like that. But it's okay, it's okay, they'll learn 1 day CIAO

Great food. Friendly. I wish it were a little bigger so there could be more of a variety. But I highly recommend.

Had the proscuttio broccoli rabe sandwich- it was delicious. Rice balls, chicken cutlets were great too

This place has great Italian food to go. The meatballs are my favorite. Their gravy is to die for. The staff and service are wonderful!

so I grew up working at the Belmont Tavern. I used to always get bread from Giordano‘s in Silver Lake so I know what I’m talking about. Nicole is is the best. I love them. I never came up to Montclair but now I live up here and this place is great you gotta try the potato and egg sandwich in the morning.
