Depending on your style and needs, this could be the right place for you. The aesthetic is super fun with seating like airplane seats, bright lights, and really loud music. The coffee is good with coffee-adjacent drinks with fun names. I have never seen the place empty or slow. There are a handful of pastries (croissant, pecan roll, ham and cheese croissant, everything bagel twist, etc.) to accompany the beverages. I was told the pastries come from Le French Dad Boulangerie, so if you like their baked goods, you’ll be pleased. If you’re prone to migraines or if you’re looking for a semi-quiet place to work or have a chat, this is not the place for you. If you want to show friends or visitors a unique place with good coffee, this does the job.

The coffee product is great however after have just invested in the new location not allocating funds for a 3 group coffee machine has taken its toll on the service. It should never take 20 minutes to get coffee. There really isn’t much excuse for that I would just say you have to be better and figure this out.

Decor isn’t comfortable in fact furniture’s are broken with terrible views. Good drink. There was not a reply button, so I guess I’ll answer the question in my review to the Owner. the back row on the very back next to the bathroom the entire row can be ripped up and was torn. I was actually leaning in, and I almost fell over the entire row, legs were basically ripped from the previous usage, I told one of your staff, & it was very noticeable!

The coffee is obviously better than Dunkin’ Donuts but compared to other higher end coffee places, this one is just mediocre at best. They buy beans from a supplier rather than directly from the farms. I give it a 3/5 for the coffee but minus a star because I found one of the girls hairs who made my coffee inside my coffee….if you’ve got long hair, you should probably wear a hair net. Ended up dumping the coffee as soon as I found that. Sad but that was my story from today.EDIT in response to owner:- I was told by the employees in the shop that the beans are sourced from a general supplier and NOT directly from farms. I specifically asked. The employees further had little to no knowledge about coffee either other than how to make it. I asked what farm the Sumatra was from and there was only one employee there who had a clue and even she couldn’t answer the question definitively. The person at the register had absolutely no clue.- Further and finally, I have reduced my rating from 2 stars to 1. I actually take great offense to the owner replying and insinuating that I “just wanted to write a bad review” for their shop. That is a very nasty and disrespectful way of “defending” your business and, in fact, warrants a further decrease in rating. I even live 40 mins away and I drove to Montclair specifically to try this places coffee. I definitely did not get in my car and drive that far to have a bad cup of coffee and then write a bad review! For those consumers reading, you can check my profile and see I have over 100 mostly positive and honest reviews with over 100,000 views across the country. While my honest reviews and words speak for themself, this response from the owner certainly speaks for them. Power to the consumer and honesty!FYI, I don’t want a refund on a $5 cup of coffee. The employee that made my coffee very clearly had a lot of hair and it’s not surprising any ended up in my coffee. This is why hair nets were invented :).

This coffee shop is truly dedicated to their craft. With coffee beans directly from the owners family farm, to fun and unique espresso drinks, the shop is such a treat to visit. And the staff are always pleasant and very hardworking. I make sure to bring anyone visiting NJ here because there’s no other shop like it!

My God. The coffee here is so strong I started having some palpations (I also finished my wife's coffee). Other than that, it's pretty packed here on the weekend so it might be tough to get a spot to read/study/work.

I was told "this place is an experience" and it was accurate. As far as coffee shops go, this is the one to beat. Perfect textured milk for lattes, delicious and creative drinks, and the decor is playful yet grown up. Love everything about this place.
