Very unassuming BBQ establishment! I could tell that the place makes more money based on catering than direct orders, but my friend and I had a very satisfying meal, consisting of ribs, brisket, and various sides. Note that they didn't have the smoked corn on the cob, which I would have loved to try. The BBQ sauce was some of the best I have had, but the mac and cheese side dish could have used a bit more salt.
Absolutely delicious! Ribs not greasy and very MEATY! Very tasty BBQ sauce. Side dishes were perfectly seasoned. Addictive! I only splurge once in a great while as one can consume 2 Days worth of calories in one meal....YIKES! But it's definitely at the top of my list and my "go to" place for ribs - no other! They nailed it, for sure!

I've known the family that owns The Wood Pit for over 20 years. Great food. The owner's son was very welcoming. The ribs and mac and cheese were to die for. I loved the casual dive atmosphere.
