Delicious food and great service. We wanted to take our time through apps then tacos, and they were more than accommodating. The beef tongue is legit. BYOB is a plus. We will be bringing friends here once we all get vaccinated.

The veggie tacos with black bean and sweet potato were excellent, as was the guacamole topped with crispy brussel sprout leaves. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere.

The food was good, I had the scallop tacos and the pork. The experience however was lacking, I asked for my tacos to be spicy and was told it couldn’t be spiced up more rather, a mango habanero sauce was offered and I said ok. The tacos took about 30 minutes and after my meal, I asked for the bill and surprisingly, there was a $2 charge for the sauce which I was never told there would be an extra charge. I gave a $50 bill, asked for change and my change was never given to me. Personally, I am a very good tipper but I never want to feel coerced or forced into it and I feel like I was in this situation. $50 for 4 tacos, guacamole and chips...another day in Montclair....

Excellent food!!! I’m obsessed with the shrimp tacos. The Esquite is delicious. Best guacamole and so creative with Brussels sprouts and bacon.You definitely must try Villalobos. Not only is the food amazing, Adam and his staff are so attentive and welcoming.Great customer service.I highly recommend Villalobos.

First time here with a girlfriend and I was very impressed .The flavors of the food were to die for and the guacamole with Brussel sprouts that were cooked crispy and chunks of bacon was amazing I literally could not stop eating it . My girlfriend had black bean and butternut squash tacos and even after she took her one taco left to go she opened her to go box and ate it all at the table while we waited for the check and I talked her ears off. I had the scallops taco. It was a special and it was so yummy. All the flavors came out of you but in a good blended way they all seem to come together in harmony to your taste buds. I also had the fish taco which was my 2 nd favorite taco and last the shrimp taco. We ate outside of course for the covid rules and tables were spaced apart so that I felt very safe and comfortable there. Seats were a bit hard so I would suggest restaurant puts cushions on those hard seats but that would be my only complaint . This is Mexican food that has a gourmet twist going off the path of traditional Mexican. I will definitely be back here and try something different on the menu . Oh and they do not have menus. you swipe your phone on the QR code on the table and the one page menu appears . So cool especially with all those hands touching menus who needs them right ? Great idea . So I definitely and highly recommend this cozy Mexican spot in Montclair. It is a must go for a meal .

We ordered take out and it cost us $155.00. Completely outrageous for what we ordered. $11.00 for a small container of corn. Are you kidding. 3 tacos about 4 inches each for 18.00. The prices were ridiculous for the food we ordered and it wasn't that good. Learned our lesson. Never again. Very surprised and disappointed.

If you're in Montclair and love tacos, then you must try this spot. They are situated off street along Fullerton Ave. I've tried their chicken, fish, and pulled pork tacos and they each had their own kick. I asked them not to make it spicy, and they accomodated it perfectly. Their guacamole is also fresh and tasty. Must try!
