I stumbled upon this establishment approximately one month ago as I recently relocated to the Montville area. It is conveniently located down the road from my residence. The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Barbeque Spare Rib combination plate. The ribs are tender and meaty and they do not drown them in sauce. The pork fried rice is moist and has lots of flavor. The service is wonderful both carry out and delivery. This is our go to for quality Chinese cuisine with generous portions, at a very reason price.

Best pork Dumplings ever! Always stop here when I'm around. Better than many NYC dumplings.

Food here is hit or miss but mostly miss. There is no consistency. Vegetable Fried rice tastes different every time. Errol at with garlic sauce is nothing but whole bunch of uncooked eggplant with pathetic sauce.
The woman at the counter has the sweetest smile and countenance, and great English skills as a bonus, so the ordering is easy and very pleasant. The chefs jumped into action right away, and you can see them clearly in an open, clean, modern kitchen. She brings the food out to you with that same great smile. The food is heaped up high on those plastic plates, comes with everything you might need on the tray - no hunting for napkins or beginning for duck sauce. Every bite is delicious. My son had the pork lo mein combination platter. I had the typical gringo General Tso's chicken combination platter. The place was quiet, and when there were no orders coming in for a short time, the staff didn't get loud but kept the place peaceful for enjoying dinner. When you see hard work combined with care for the customer, these days that is something to cherish. This was our first time there but first of many.

I am always on the lookout for good Chinese food. I hit this place on the way home one evening from Boonton. Ordered basic lo mein and scallion pancakes. One thing I've learned is that scallion pancakes are "usually" a good litmus test for good Chinese. The scallion pancakes here were unfortunately not very good. The dough was stale and it was very difficult to eat them. I ordered chicken lo mein and it was lacking vegetables and extremely dry. They also charged me $20 for the two which is a bit on the high side of prices. Had they been good I wouldn't have cared. Overall, this was a very disappointing stop and food wasn't that good. I won't be back. I know it's a family owned restaurant and times are tough but have to be honest as to the food quality to the readers.

Extremely friendly staff and consistently delicious food! Fortune City has been our go-to since 2012, and we've never been disappointed or had a bad meal.
