“Fabulous place to host a private event in their beautiful downstairs area. The buffet was one of the best I have ever been to, the dressing on the salad was exceptional. The owner was very accommodating and the menu offered a variety of choices that took into consideration allergies and dietary preferences. not one complaint on any of the food. our server dona was terrific, the place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, lots of parking available and very reasonable prices. I have also been there for lunch and highly recommend their flatbread. Love this place and will be back often.”

But what is compelling me to post this was truly the regarding the service I received here. It brought me to tears!!! Patricio and Dylan were the most considerate, kind, attentive and understanding waiters I have ever met in my entire life. After dining in the tri-state area my whole life, exploring cities like Chicago and LA through food, I’ve been conditioned and numb to lackluster waitstaff and typically take the approach of trying just to avoid them spitting in my food, but Patricio and Dylan completely floored me in their attention to detail, knowledge, and service that showed me exactly what good waiters could be. Living with GI issues and intolerances, I consistently feel like an inconvenience at restaurants and that the entire responsibility of making sure I don’t fall ill after dining is based on how I modify the menu and pick around my plate. EXCEPT here at Rails with Patricio and Dylan, I had the first care-free dining experience in my life, their thoughtfulness allowed me to be truly present with my family, enjoy the wonderful food being served, and just live in the moment, which is so important to me. Dylan was explicit in the detail of every dish and always helped me navigate what was coming around and being served. Now, back to the tears, when I subtly mentioned in passing to Patricio that I couldn’t eat dairy and couldn’t partake in the birthday cake, he brought me a delicious sorbet flight, unprompted, just so that I could feel a part of the festivities. “Great breakfast bagels, flagels, bialys, and more! Every morning made fresh, savory, and delicious. Food is consistent. Customer service is on point. A family run shop. They treat you with love and respect. Like you’re walking into grandma’s kitchen. Great sense of humor. Best part (besides the great food) is that if you call like 10 min ahead, they’ll have it ready for you when you come in. No wait time! As a Montville resident, I will always be back!”

“I’m a fan of the pizza, but the 1 guy behind the counter really pissed me off last time I went, completely ignored me standing by the slices for at least 5 minutes, I had to say are you going to help me? On top of this, I was charged $12 for 2 slices and a soda? I really started to think if the guy behind the counter was blind or couldn’t see.”

“Looking for a change in ordering Chinese food and was very happy with this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup was so flavorful. Just the right amount of hot and seasoned perfectly. The chicken chow mein was delicious with lots of chicken and a wonderful sauce. The pork fried rice also was nicely prepared with excellent flavors. Even their egg rolls were nice and crispy without being greasy. Will be adding the China Pavilion to our list of takeout locations.”

“I think this was a very tasty option for a plain pie and salad. Great price also. I really liked the pizza. I prefer thinner, not crispy pizza and this was perfect.
I agree with some comments that the front lady wasn’t the nicest, but I don’t think she was intentionally mean or rude. She seemed like she was just doing her job, and doing Few things at the same time.
I’d definitely go back when I’m in the area.”

“Yes..Staff, Service and Food always great! Have been dining here since they opened. We enjoy the Jekyll and Hyde calamari and the spiedini appetizers. Anton makes a great rack of pork and filet mignon. We ended with cappuccinos which hit the spot. 👍👍👍👍👍”

“I had pastitsio in Greece that wasn’t as good as this! My friend got the lamb; it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our pistachio baklava was the perfect end to our meal! The prices are a little high but the quality and care makes it totally worth it.”

“First time stopping in. The food was great. And the price was very reasonable. The place has great atmosphere, clean & so much to choose from. Staff was super friendly. Especially Brooks, who went above & beyond helping us try decide what to order. I'm not kidding when I say everything looked so good. He kindly gave different suggestions. He took time to explain different options, what they were and how they were made. Any questions or requests we had were met with nothing but kind responses. Will definitely be back!”

“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.”
