If you enjoy being sneered at and treated like garbage for simply trying to spend your money, then by all means—head to Red Barn Towaco and bask in the presence of the blonde behind the counter with the personality of a wet mop and the charm of a DMV line.
She’s got the customer service skills of a brick wall and the warmth of a snowstorm. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted not with a smile, but with a glare so icy it could freeze lava. She acted like answering a question was beneath her—as if I’d walked into her house and insulted her décor. Newsflash: You’re working the counter at a roadside shack, not running a five-star resort. Drop the attitude.
Whatever Red Barn is trying to be—quirky, local, charming—it fails miserably because of this one rude, miserable excuse for a staff member. I’d rather shop literally anywhere else than subject myself to her sour face and snarky remarks ever again. You’ve lost a customer permanently.

Went for breakfast last Sunday, after hearing so many people tell me about this place.
Let me preface this by saying that I am from the Deep South, and since I’ve moved to New Jersey, I have yet to find a place that satiated my yearning for a down-home-sittin’-at-grannie’s-breakfast-nook feel… until now.
I was immediately and cheerfully greeted by several staff members, Toni, Kelsey, and others in a bustling atmosphere loaded with the smell of coffee and breakfast… with cute signs hanging everywhere. I felt like I was home!
Chelsea treated us like we were in her home… brought our food out quickly, drinks were always full, and the food was FANTASTIC!! I almost cried when I saw Louisiana Hot Sauce on the table and grits on the menu.
Our daughter has quite an affinity for all the Easter decorations and the giant rooster outside the front door. :D
We can’t wait to come back. Thank you to ALL of the staff there!

Warm and cozy local place, and full of some of our favorite people. The women here are wonderful, welcoming, and full of hospitality. We've never had a bad meal, and everything comes out super fast. Great little place, BYOB, patio open in the warmer months.
Vegetarian options: Ask for any alterations to your meal. They're always happy to accommodate.

Red Barn has been my go-to breakfast/brunch place since 2017 and I recommend it all the time. It's casual, down to earth, and you can tell the staff really care and want to connect with folks.
Everything I've eaten there has been great, and the top item of all time is the banana bread french toast that often appears on the specials menu.

This is a FAV of ours to go for brunch. We typically go at least once a month. They have great specials and a wide ranging menu that has something for everyone whether they want breakfast or lunch. Their Bennies are fantastic but the French Toast banana bread is to die for (always available, just ask your server for it)!!! You will definitely have plenty to take home or share and I highly recommend trying it. The Pile Driver panini is excellent if you’re leaning more towards lunch. Prices are very reasonable. While you may have to wait for a table, it never takes more than 10-15 minutes. It’s a very well known local spot and everyone from staff to patrons are always friendly and in a great mood. It’s worth the drive if you’re not from the area.

Always pleased with my experiences at the red barn. Used to live in the area, but have since moved away. Any chance we get when we’re back we will eat here. The muffins are awesome. The portions are large. The food comes out pretty fast. My only other thought is that it might be time to consider standing and refinishing all of the wood picnic tables. Be sure to take a look at the specials list; lots of great options!
