They make their own soy sauce (it has a hint of smoky flavor, it's definitely worth stopping by to try)!! Staff was super friendly and the everything tasted super fresh. So many great appetizers and rolls to choose from. And mochi ice cream for dessert. Stopped in for a work dinner, but definitely will be back to try more.

This is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had in the US. The soy sauce is home made and the sushi is fresh and so so so good. I wish I lived here so I could go all the time. If you have the chance to go here do it!!

the owners of this place are always so welcoming whenever you walk in. service is amazing here along with the food. we primarily order rolls and sushi pieces here, but the hot food is just as good. we almost always order the following:
- bruno roll
- beauty and beast roll
- tropicana roll
- sarah roll
- sushi pieces (salmon belly, yellowtail belly, sweet shrimp, scallop, squid, eel, mackerel, bluefin tuna)
their fish is fresh and roll combinations are expansive. they even have sushi fish specials that many other local sushi places do not have (see above). we used to live closer to nyc and have been to many highly rated omakase places, and this place is not inferior in the freshness of their fish. if you’re looking for a go to local sushi place, this is the place to go. to summarize, sushi is fresh and there are many roll options from simple to special rolls, hot food is good as well, and lastly service with a smile is underrated. the space is small so definitely make reservations if you plan to have dinner on the weekend. lastly, they make their own soy sauce and it tastes delicious with sushi. this is a staple restaurant for us whenever we’re craving sushi!
Parking: there is parking in the lot next to the building that is free on the weekends. there’s also street parking nearby. during the weekdays this is all meter/pay-by-phone parking that isn’t terribly expensive (~1 per hour for max 2 hours). parking lot fills up quickly friday and weekend nights.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Asahi. The sushi was excellent and their soy sauce is homemade which is great. The owners were very kind and remembered many people who came in.

EXCELLENT food and service - all the rolls have their own unique flavors, and the teas are so good. The waitress is so kind, makes great suggestions, and is very knowledgeable of the menu. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant! The fish is always fresh, and everything is delicious.
We stopped in for a 5pm lite dinner and were blown away by how fresh and delicious the sushi was. We ate the Kamakazi roll and hot orange tea. Seriously delicious. We will definitely return with friends. The restaurant is tiny, 10 tables and quaint. The server was on point and charmingly sweet.
