“I have eaten sushi in Puerto Rico, Colorado and many places that are ok to my taste. But for me the best place to eat Sushi is Wasabi Restaurant in Mount Laurel, NJ. I enjoy the sushi they prepare here. It is so fresh and I can enjoy every flavor of their rolls or sushi with or without any sauce. From the rice, avocados and fish. I love their yellowtail with scallions and their salmon avocado roll. I like their combo Japanese fried rice too. This is just my favorites but I know that everything they prepare in this Restaurant is top quality. If you decide to enjoy this place by take out or dining, be aware that they will require some time to prepare your meal because it is not a fast food and the food will be prepared fresh for you. Since I tasted their sushi rolls I can’t eat a pre made sushi or supermarket, or buffet sushi anymore. With this restaurant I learned to eat raw fish. I used to eat before rolls that were only with shrimp, eel, or smoked salmon. Now, I can eat all their sushi.“

“Wanted sushi one evening. Searched around for a place I haven't been to yet, and saw this place. The photos of the food looked delicious. The staff were very nice and friendly. Got seated right away. I truly don't remember what the names of the rolls. Next time I'll get a photo of the menu and names of them.“

“we ordered delivery from Asian chef tonight, and when I got my order (bento box with salmon teriyaki, rice, shrimp shumai, and cucumber avocado roll). Instead of salmon, I ended up receiving shrimp teriyaki. I wasn’t going to call but I figured I may as well just let them know- the employee who answered the phone was so nice and apologetic, and immediately offered to bring me the correct protein that I ordered. I accepted the offer and asked if he wanted me to return the untouched shrimp order, but he said to keep it! then, I expected them to just deliver me the salmon to add to the meal, but they brought me an ENTIRE other bento box with the salmon! I was so shocked! not only that, but they also returned the cash to make up the difference in price on the order. they did NOT have to do that, but it shows so much about their restaurant. we also ordered some sushi, drunken noodles, and a seaweed salad and it did not disappoint at all. we will be ordering from asian chef again soon thanks to their kindness, and their excellent quality food!!“

“First off, let me just this was the best server/host I have had pleasure to meet in all my life. She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. It is a very cozy, traditional style place in terms of aesthetics. The sushi is really delectable too, the fish is high quality. The desserts were delicious as well. Will be sure to come back soon!“

“I love this place in general, it’s perfect cuisine, but the service today (05/10) was bad - they serve customers like they had a bad day and they went to work, you know. No smiles on faces. “I love Akira every time! We live in town and go regularly for take out, eat in, and hibachi. We have gone multiple times for hibachi and the service is great, atmosphere is fun, and they are accommodating of young children. Out son has more and more fun each time we go. I also love the sushi variety and flavor. So happy to have a non Italian spot in town!“

The $21 Beef Teriyaki Dinner Box is big for a guy.
I don't like the Mango Tuna Sushi ? , because the Tuna doesn't like real Tuna which is just some choppy things inside the rice rolls. Mango favoured Pieces are not expected.“

“The food is clean and has flavor but most of the time it gets too you 10-20 minutes earlier than when they tell you and your veggies are not cooked all the way through. As you eat you are crunching away on all the veggies. You need to take the time and cook everything and not worry about the time it gets to the person that orders. All in all a nice/clean spot.“
