“Haven't been here for quite some time, but it was our favorite sushi place while we lived in NJ. Great staff, awesome service, and amazing quality of fish! The Gary Roll is sure to please and the pepper tuna is such a great appetizer to start things off.“

“we ordered delivery from Asian chef tonight, and when I got my order (bento box with salmon teriyaki, rice, shrimp shumai, and cucumber avocado roll). Instead of salmon, I ended up receiving shrimp teriyaki. I wasn’t going to call but I figured I may as well just let them know- the employee who answered the phone was so nice and apologetic, and immediately offered to bring me the correct protein that I ordered. I accepted the offer and asked if he wanted me to return the untouched shrimp order, but he said to keep it! then, I expected them to just deliver me the salmon to add to the meal, but they brought me an ENTIRE other bento box with the salmon! I was so shocked! not only that, but they also returned the cash to make up the difference in price on the order. they did NOT have to do that, but it shows so much about their restaurant. we also ordered some sushi, drunken noodles, and a seaweed salad and it did not disappoint at all. we will be ordering from asian chef again soon thanks to their kindness, and their excellent quality food!!“

“I ordered sushi tonight for take out and I can say this is my new favorite place! I ordered the crazy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, miso soup, and a ginger salad. The ingredients taste so fresh and everything has excellent flavor. I am so happy with everything and will become a regular in no time!“

“First off, let me just this was the best server/host I have had pleasure to meet in all my life. She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. It is a very cozy, traditional style place in terms of aesthetics. The sushi is really delectable too, the fish is high quality. The desserts were delicious as well. Will be sure to come back soon!“

“For all all you can eat location, it is good quality food at a reasonable price in a clean and quiet atmosphere. It's mot cluttered with tables and the service is quick and timely. There is small fee for take away, but it's nothing crazy.“

“I love Akira every time! We live in town and go regularly for take out, eat in, and hibachi. We have gone multiple times for hibachi and the service is great, atmosphere is fun, and they are accommodating of young children. Out son has more and more fun each time we go. I also love the sushi variety and flavor. So happy to have a non Italian spot in town!“

“Tucked away in a small shopping center, very easy to overlook, sits a gem of a restaurant. They have multiple cuisines to choose from, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The footprint of the restaurant is small, but it is so thoughtfully arranged and decorated. I wish I had found this place sooner and will definitely continue to visit.“

“The staff couldn't be more Fantastic- friendly entertaining and accommodating. The Hibachi was hibachi tasted as you'd expect. Got some sushi which i was a little nervous about given us being in the middle of nowhere New Jersey HOWEVER looking at other patrons dishes on the walk in gave me the courage to give it a shot and sure enough was fresh , delicious , cut properly (very underrated important aspect) and well- prepared.“
