“Absolutely incredible experience here at Akira. Came on a Tuesday evening and the place was packed! Both sides (regular and hibachi). Our server was so sweet and was so fun with our son. The place is loud so our son fit in just nicely.

Food is absolutely incredible!! The little slivers of ginger were the best I’ve ever had. I just wish it was the coarse sea salt on the edamame instead of table salt.

“Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

A special thank you to our waiter, Andy, who went above and beyond after I mentioned my allergies to onions and scallions. He carefully checked every dish—from the appetizers to the sushi, chicken teriyaki, and even the sauces—to make sure everything was safe for me. His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference.

“As soon as we saw this place open up and learned that they had authentic Chinese cuisine in addition to sushi, my family knew we had to try it. We got their pan-fried dumplings, mapo tofu, spicy crab, and house special fried rice. Everything was delicious! Pan-fried dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and tasted homemade. The mapo tofu was soft and tender, and covered in chili oil (a bit on the spicy side, but we all love spice). The spicy crab was REAL soft-she’ll crab deep-fried in a seasoned batter and quickly stir-fried in dry chilis. And the house special rice had a wonderful smokiness from the wok. SO MUCH BETTER than the rice at Volcano Hibachi down the road. If you want the best of both Japanese and Chinese (Sichuan) cuisine, RUN to this place!“

“This was our first time going here and whereas we may or may not ever get to go there again I highly recommend it. The service was perfect the food was amazing and it was a comfortable setting. We actually found the place by accident, we were traveling and our children decided they were hungry so we just pulled off of the highway and found some place that we could all agree and I am so happy we did. We have been coming to this location for many years and have never had an issue.
Service - Always on time and amazing, friendly, inviting.

“We have been here several times and always have the freshest and most delicious sushi! It’s by far our favorite sushi and we drive from Cherry Hill to Haddonfield because it’s so good. Awesome sushi experience. We had more than enough.

Overall a beautiful experience. Great tasting sushi, with amazing staff to serve.

Nice atmosphere. The location is hidden and could be missed due to the construction.

Freshly prepared all you can eat sushi. This place is a best kept secret and a hidden gem.

“I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“
