Always fresh. Good food.
The food was decent, but not anything to rave about. If you're craving Mexican, it's an okay option, just don’t expect anything that stands out. It’s not bad, but it also won’t blow you away. Good for a quick fix, but there are definitely more exciting choices out there if you’re looking for something special.
Absolutely love this place and everything about it nothing bad to say 😁😊
Been here a few times and I always enjoyed the food.
I don't consider myself cheap, but I don't like spending $5 on a small side of rice and $5 on a small side of beans, That's $10 added to a $16 enchilada for lunch. Then $1.50 for sour cream when your meal comes with sour cream on it. Two of the enchiladas had sour cream one didn't, so I asked for a small bit of sour cream and they charged me $1.50 I am so against that. Plenty of places around make good Mexican food so I'll find another place to eat.
Absolutely Incredible Mexican Food – A Must-Try for Vegetarians!
Blue Habanero is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to! If you’re vegetarian, you’ll love that they don’t use lard (animal fat) in their rice and beans, making it a truly vegetarian-friendly spot.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with great interiors and plenty of parking. It also seems to be family-owned, which adds to the charm.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply phenomenal!
The chips were flavorful and authentic, with just the right amount of salt and a hint of paprika.
Both salsas were bursting with flavor, and I highly recommend trying their extra-hot salsa if you enjoy a good kick!
The vegetarian burrito was easily the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The spicy sauce took it to another level—every bite was packed with rich, delicious flavors. An absolute must-try!
The vegetarian cheese quesadilla was also fantastic—crispy veggies, a perfectly cooked tortilla, and soft, melty cheese that brought everything together beautifully.
And the best part? It’s all very reasonably priced. Lunch for two cost just $37, which is a steal considering the quality and taste of the food.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and vegetarian-friendly Mexican cuisine, Blue Habanero is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!
Back again - this time tried few more items in menu and it was amazing like before. Service is stellar!
So good!! Authentic and delicious, very friendly staff and the flan was BOMB
Fresh, beautiful and delicious food! We have been here 3 times now and it just keeps getting better. The quality of the meat, fish, and produce is unmatched. I had the best shrimp tacos I have ever had in my life. The shrimps were big and spiced perfectly. Amazing salsas and guac too- the salsa and chips are included and come out first. You can tell even the chips and tortillas are made fresh, and everything is so flavorful. They really care about the quality and presentation of the food, which is very refreshing. Blue Habenero is definitely our new favorite restaurant in Neptune! Also, the decorations in the place are so cute and colorful, and our server Victoria is so helpful and sweet! ♥️

Fast service, good environment. I need a little bit more Puebla or Oaxaca flavors. They probably are from the gulf area and those black beans are not my thing. The sauces red and green are barely Mexico style; but it is just my opinion. Most non Mexican people will be happy with it.

The food is very satisfying. Tacos Birria was enough to fill up an empty stomach, and leave a smile on your face. A nice, small place, not crowded. outside seating was really enjoyable for a sunny afternoon.
Will be back

I stopped for an early lunch (11:30) on a week day. I was immediately seated and given some very crispy tortilla chips and two kinds of salsa. I ordered beef fajitas, which came with a generous side salad, rice, and beans . The fresh corn tortillas for the fajitas were fresh. A really great meal.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for some time, after many friends and neighbors told me how good it was, and it did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and helpful Tacos de birria and pico de gallo were excellent. It was the best mexican food I’ve had since I lived in California.
