We had local smoke cater a party and the food was excellent!! Everyone raved about all of it. Very impressed. will do again!
Excellent food but service wasn’t the most friendly. Not much space to eat inside. One table for four and about 8 counter stools. More of a takeout place. Prices were reasonable.

Local Smoke BBQ is a barbecue option in Monmouth County. The food and variety is real down-home good. The sliced brisket and sides like collards, beans, and cole slaw were very good. The BBQ ribs were so fatty, but some customers enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket. Kids ribs meals come with full size ribs and were made fresh. The service was great. However, some found the turkey very salty. Prices were a concern for some, with two sandwiches and two ala carte sides costing $52. One customer felt the pastrami was cut too thick, and a turkey sloppy Joe was just a deli sandwich. The food does not lend itself to eating in; it is suggested to take it home. The place needs an appearance refresh inside and out. Despite some mixed feelings, it is a good BBQ option where the food is crazy delicious.
