Could not disagree more with the review saying this place has a bad vibe. Decor is intentional and understated. Bartender waiting on us who had a great vibe - busy, friendly and professional. Hamachi app was insanely good. Sauce complimented the fresh Hamachi - so good. Sea bream and lamb rags tagliatelle were both off the charts good. Some reviews say its expensive - this is what good food well cooked costs. Will go back again and again and again.

We'd been trying to get to Grand Tavern for a minute, and after finally making it there this past weekend, we can confidently say it was well worth the wait.

This place is a true gem in the Neptune/Ocean Grove area—one of those rare spots that absolutely nails the vibe, service, food, and cocktails. Everything feels thoughtful, polished, and effortlessly cool.

The meat dishes were all prepared very well and were the highlight of the meal. However, the saucier dishes lacked depth of flavor and tasted somewhat watered down. The panna cotta had an artificial taste and wasn’t particularly enjoyable—I felt I could have made a better version at home. Overall, the experience was just okay; nothing stood out enough to make it memorable. It was just ok- I’d go back for the burger and fries, but thats it.
