The pan-seared pacific sea bass was likely the best sea bass I've ever had. Indulged in some decadent truffle fries that stayed hot for ages because the kitchen cares about these things. The bananas foster was a great way to wrap an insanely delicious meal. Trevor took really good care of the table. Everything about Salt tonight was a win. 5 Stars, would recommend.

Me and my wife were looking for a good night out without kids. My wife does not eat meat and she had a Martini with olives that had meet in it. She was very upset that no one mentioned if we had food allergies or disclose if you don't eat meat. I've been to salt many times and last night was the first time that our experience wasn't that good. I'm not one to complain but it was down hill after the olive incident. FYI. She hasn't eaten meat over 8 years. You guys are more than welcome to reach ti me for more info.

Ordered a number of small plates in addition to entrees. All dishes were delicious and presented well. We especially loved the charred octopus, crispy squid, crab cake, crab dip, seafood risotto, and crispy skin black sea bass. Besides the food, the service was top notch. Nathalie, our main server, was welcoming and attentive. The rest of the staff always made sure our cups were full and table was clean. My party had an enjoyable time and we will be back.

I never had a bad meal at Salt. The food was outstanding and the service was top-notch. The staff was very professional, and the atmosphere was perfect. Although it was busy, it was calm and not too noisy. It was just a fantastic night all around. Highly recommend Salt (and I am very picky).

Fantastic seafood restaurant. First time we went. We ordered the small seafood tower and it was not small at all. Excellent selection of great seafood dishes - I had the black sea bass on risotto and it was amazing. Loved our server who was a Rutgers student!!

Salt is a beautiful restaurant near the State Theatre. We went with a large group to celebrate my husband's birthday and really enjoyed our experience. The food was perfection - I had a hard time choosing my entree because everything on the menu looks delicious! I am gluten free and they were very accommodating. Don't hesitate to try this gem out next time you are in the New Brunswick area.

Such a great spot for a birthday dinner! Everything was a 10 out of 10! I was super impressed by the professionalism of all the service staff. Our server, Trevor, was cool as a cucumber. If he was stressed, I couldn’t tell at all. It put us all at ease and he had some great recommendations for us as well. The wine list is great and everyone enjoyed some with dinner.
The oysters obviously are amazing. I enjoyed the variety to choose from.
For an appetizer, you have to get the crab dip! It’s so good, I almost didn’t want to share.
Entree wise, the seafood risotto did not disappoint! Perfectly cooked and creamy. However the SCALLOPS? Are you kidding me?? Best I’ve ever had. The diver scallops are sooo worth it.
Dessert is next, and you can’t skip it! The lemon mascarpone cake is delicious! My family loved the coconut creme brûlée special as well.
The ambiance is a bit dark and moody and the server assistants refilled my water about 5 times! Attentive is an understatement. Of course, I also went on a Monday night and I suggest you do the same. It was full on a week night, so I can’t imagine what a weekend is like!

My Wife & I decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary there last night. It was my first time there.
Wow, the food is so fresh and delicious, my waiter and his helper were very knowledgeable of all the food, selections and drinks.
If I could give them 100 on the scale, it would be 100+.
I will definitely be back and will be recommending your restaurant to everybody that I come in contact with. Job well done all around.

How is it that I am just getting around to Salt? Don't know, but it won't be my last visit. Always a bourbon Manhattan to start, and the Eagle Rare was mixed well. Our group of four started with the charred octopus, very tasty; and crab dip, which while not my choice was very good as well. The mains were all visually attractive as were the small plates before. My dining partners chose the Black Sea Bass, corn gnocchi with lobster, and a special, sesame encrusted blue fin tuna (close, I hope!). I chose my favorite fish, Florida grouper with broccolini, which did not achieve greatness, but was pretty darn good. Can't speak for the others, but clean plates all around. Next visit I hope they are serving the sesame tuna. The deserts, tiramisu and Basque cheese cake were elevated above the norm, but I was too full to appreciate.
The restaurant is pleasingly arranged and decorated; diners ranged from family to groups to couples, and the vibe was good. So was the service.
