Went here for grandson graduation. Beautiful inside clean bathrooms.
Lived here as an undergrad — solid experience overall.
I stayed at Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hall as an undergraduate student in a studio apartment, and it was a genuinely comfortable setup. The unit comes fully equipped — a private kitchen with plenty of cabinet space, a full-size bed, your own bathroom, a stove, and air conditioning. Comes with a giant window with a view of the historic church that Audible now occupies. For student housing, it really doesn't get much more self-contained than this.
Beyond the living spaces, the hall itself is a hub of activity. Right when you walk in near security, there's Clements Place — a great little spot where you'll regularly find a promoter hosting live jazz performances in the evenings. They have a bar as well, which adds a nice social layer to the building.
Head down to the basement and you'll find a pool table, a lounge/cafeteria area, and two vending machines — one stocked with snacks (chocolates, cookies, chips) and another with drinks (sodas, water, Gatorade, Powerade). The laundry area is tucked toward the Washington Street side of the basement. The building also has two entrances — one on Essex Street and one on Washington Street — which is convenient.
One thing to note: studio living here means you're largely in your own world. Residents are focused, independent, and keep to themselves — great if you value a quiet, study-oriented environment.
Overall, a well-rounded place to live and a lively spot for events. Recommended.
