Great Portuguese restaurant in the Ironbound section of Newark. Good place for dinner before an event at the Prudential Center or NJ PAC. Plenty of seafood and meat across appetizers and main courses. Service was attentive by waiter and other staff.
This was my 2nd visit within 2 months to Campino. On the 1st visit we sat in the bar area & service and food were amazing. The 2nd visit we had a group of 7 at the 11 am open and, despite only 1 other party being in the restaurant, they literally sat us in the furthest corner of the restaurant next to the fireplace & restrooms. Our server came to take our orders for food and dessert but did nothing else, such as refilling water carafes, asking how the food was, checking...
